Read moreI went to this Farmer Boys location in Gardena with a few co-workers for a meal break while we were working. The employees were very nice. The food was great. The only minor complaint that I have is that the food took a long time to get out to us. I kind of understand that, because I think that they are making the food fresh right after you order it, instead of it sitting around at the ready. So, that's not altogether a bad thing. One of my co-workers said that this was like a Denny's in a fast-food shell. But, honestly, I have had much quicker service at Denny's. The food came out in the order in which we had ordered, but it was kind of strange how abnormally long it took. One of my co-workers ordered a big breakfast plate and decaf coffee. It didn't take too long for him to get his food, but it took forever for him to get his coffee. They had to brew his pot of coffee, which seemed like that wasn't started until really late. It was as if they had forgotten about it. It didn't arrive until he was almost done with his breakfast. One thing we were surprised with was how much food was on that breakfast plate, which was cool. One co-worker said, "You will never eat all that!" Well, surprisingly, he did! I ordered just a breakfast sandwich, which came out soon after the breakfast plate, and it was a good big sandwich. Good thing my fresh squeezed orange juice was at the ready, or I might not have had that until after I finished. The other two guys ordered burgers and fries, which didn't come out until the other two of us were done eating our breakfasts. We couldn't figure out if it was because they had ordered lunch items during breakfast, which they were told that they could do, or if the restaurant is understaffed. It's not like the place was really busy. There were definitely customers there besides us, but it's not like they were swamped. It just was awkward and a little weird. I have never experienced anything like...
Read moreI was in the Gardena store this evening as I have two times before. The times before were shortly after it opened. Tonight's visit was very different . I placed my order to dine in paid for my food and was given a cup to get my drink. When I got to the soda machine I noticed a dark ring around th opening of the ice dispenser, I got a napkin from the person at the counter to see if it was what I thought it might have been and so it was. Both of the dispenser had mold completely around the opening. I found it to be very sickening . So I call one of the female employees over to show her what I had discovered, but what it caused me to wonder if the place where food is being prepared is just as unclean. I sometimes feel that the concern for certain areas of business is not of the utmost importance because of the area it is in. I have been in some of the stores in the Inland Empire and I have never come across any thing like this . The seats were all very dirty, I had to ask the same helper if she could clean the table and another customer heard me telling her about all the problems and he informed me that he had just sent his meal back and gotten a refund because his meal was cold when they brought it to the table. I find all of this unacceptable. I am a retired tax payer and I feel that some of my tax dollars should at least allow me the privilege of being able to dine out in my area and not have to worry about getting sick because no one cared enough to just do a daily inspection of the things that brings you business everyday. I will probably never go back again for health reasons but , I do hope that my concern for others will be addressed in the near future. Sincerely, Very...
