Picture this: you're walking into a bowling alley, and you smell...amazing food? That's Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop for you! It's a total hidden gem, tucked right inside the bowling alley, and it's become a family favorite.
Honestly, the menu is HUGE. It's like they have every cuisine imaginable – Hawaiian, Japanese, American – and they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day! It's perfect for those days when you can't decide what you're craving.
I'm a big fan of their rice combo dishes. The chicken and beef teriyaki is my go-to. The teriyaki sauce is just the right amount of sweet and savory, and the portions are generous. And let's not forget the loco moco – it's comfort food at its finest!
My 7-year-old son? He's a breakfast fanatic, and he's in heaven at Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop. Pancakes, bacon, eggs – he'd eat it for every meal if he could! And the pancakes are legit – fluffy and delicious.
It can get pretty busy during lunch and dinner, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. But honestly, the food is worth it. It's affordable, delicious, and the atmosphere is classic diner – comfortable and unpretentious.
If you're looking for a casual and delicious meal in Gardena, Gardena Bowl Coffee Shop is a must-try. It's a local favorite for a reason! Five stars for the food, the variety, and the friendly service. Just be prepared to maybe hear the rumble of bowling balls in...
Read moreMy family took me here for the first time only because of the photos and the comments they saw on social media. I can honestly say we were all disappointed because it's NOT even that great! You can make it better at home than the people at this restaurant. Not only we got crappy service from the Asian lady that took our order but her obvious face wasn't friendly. She never ask us what kind of drinks we wanted??? She just had the Hispanic guy come out and bring us 8 cups of water that went to waste because I had to stand up and go to the front of the counter to ask for soft drinks for everyone and when I asked why did she serve us water that we didn't ask for and she just had a dumb look on her face. Their French toast sucks! Their burgers are not all that great. My kids said the only thing that was good was their fried rice. Everything else sucks. IHOP or Denny is way better. Food didn't taste fresh. We wasted $80 at this wannabe Hawaiian café. I was going to be nice and tip her but I changed my mind because of her rude stinky attitude. She looked at us like she didn't want us there because we came in...
Read moreIt was me and my wife's first time here, upon seeing it on Netflix's "Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner." We tried and loved their miso soup, the standard beef patty Loco Moco (the patties are made in-house), a side of Garlic Chicken, Hawaiian Royal, and a Portuguese Sausage patty on the side. The miso soup was tasty, consisting of plenty of chopped scallions, noodles, and perfect dashi stock. The 2 patties on the Loco Moco were huge and perfectly char-broiled. They actually have 4 types of protein for their Loco Moco to chose from: beef patty, Portuguese sausage patty, Kalua, and Katsu chicken patty. The side of the Portuguese patty was delicious with a slight kick of spice, but trumped in size compared to its beef alternative. The Hawaiian Royal is a generously served dish of steamed rice beneath chunks of Portuguese sausage, Chashu (the reddish BBQ pork), chopped green onions & eggs drizzled with Teriyaki Sauce. The dish was my favorite of the four, which worked out in my favor given the abundance of each ingredient in it. It can easily be shared amongst two to...
