The people that have work here is astonishing sometimes don’t get me wrong. The food is great. I’ve been going to this place since I was in elementary school so I walked in today and I ordered a Mrs G, which is a half beef steak with peppers and the other half is a pastrami. There’s a heading right above the sandwich that tells you exactly what it has and there’s also a heading under each sandwich, which tells you a little bit more of what it has inside now under the Mrs G there’s no mustard included in the ingredient list so I walk in. I order a regular and I tell the guy I want meat and cheese only for some reason, he doesn’t jot it down and when I get the sandwich, the pastrami half has mustard now I hate mustard, mayo. So I dig in to the beef steak side of the sandwich. Then I noticed that the pastrami half has mustard I go up to the guy he makes a face. He tells me that the pastrami comes with mustard and I told him I understand that but when I ordered, I ordered a Mrs G this is a pastrami half and under Mrs G. It doesn’t say anything about mustard then he tells me well if you look under pastrami sandwich, it says right there that it includes mustard so then I told him I didn’t order a full pastrami sandwich. I ordered a Mrs. G and under Mrs. G it doesn’t say anything about mustard. Besides, I told him when I ordered, I said meat and cheese only then he tells me in Spanish that he doesn’t wanna argue with me and that he’ll fix it long story short it was his mistake and he tries to turn it around on me that it was my mistake and I should have mentioned that no mustard but I told him I did say meat and cheese only am I missing something this place is primarily known for their sandwiches and if this guy doesn’t understand meat and cheese only he needs to go somewhere else and work customer service...
Read moreI ordered something unknowing which image is what and thought that the pepper steak was the one pictures on their website since they aren't labeled as to what we are looking at. Thus in my mind I thought they had gotten a little bit cheap since I expected chunks of steak that was chopped to fit the sub and not thinly sliced beef. I can't even tell it it's got pepper on it like the picture showed.
But due to the lack of knowledge of this place and not ever eating there my expectations that were given to me by word of mouth and the website now mixed with my personal experience of it. I suggest that you aren't ordinary from the restaurant and not over the phone using their website as a reference since none of the pictures are labeled with what they actually are.
But next time I do order anything from them it's definitely not going to be the peppered steak. It's I suppose the cheese steak sub for something.
But I wish eateries would label the images or post a post on them as to what we are looking at. Because as tasty as the sub still was, I would love to know the actual sub's name instead of thinking the pepper steak looks like the...
Read moreGiamela’s is a small local spot for sub sandwiches and some other stuff like pasta and salad, but I can’t choose to support this local business. I ordered the Mr. G’s Sub which had a good amount of meat along with chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, white onions, relish, mayo, and mustard. The overall taste is dominated by the strong flavors of the relish and mustard, and then the oiliness of the mayo. The lettuce was also soft and did not feel fresh. The size felt a little small for the price I was paying. The bun very low quality, super soft and squished from being packed in with everything else. My girlfriend ordered the spaghetti and meatballs that came with garlic bread and salad. The spaghetti and meatballs was average but nothing to complain or rave about. The garlic bread used the same lame bread as the sandwich, even cut horizontally too. The salad was an abomination. It’s not a salad. It’s leftover sandwich ingredients. And just like how the lettuce on the salad wasn’t fresh, the chopped lettuce for the salad was also...
