Good Friend Coffee — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Good Friend Coffee (est 2024) is cute corner coffee on Virgil ave in East Hollywood LA. It offers mostly espresso-based drinks like Americanos, lattes, cappuccinos, drip coffee and iced coffee. Its aesthetic interior design of white and blue color scheme was visually attractive and pleasing. Moreover, it’s very spacious with plenty of cute lil coffee tables and chairs. I like this cafe’s neat and organized appearance.

I came here early morning to grab some coffee. I was promptly and warmly greeted by a male staff. I perused their glass covered menu and I ordered a hot latte (8oz). It was simply okay and the coffee cup size was extremely small that doesn’t equate with the expensive price. Anyway, this cafe has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. They sell coffee bags, mugs, merch and pastries. Prices seem on the high end for commoners like myself. Finding street metered parking this early on a weekend was easy. However, on weekdays parking situation in this area is a challenge. Staff were okay and service was on point. Collectively, this is a fine modern hip coffee shop.

Overall, I had a good experience and latte. I’d come back to try other drinks. I therefore, recommend this Good Friend...

Arriving there right before noon on a Sunday, left me with a nearly empty pastry case. Yep, literally 3 things left there, and I had to sadly see the customer in front of me ordered the one I wanted.

Prolly not surprising knowing the place was relatively new and people wanna give it a try. Besides, the venue was indeed so cozy with gigantic open windows. Somehow it reminded me of La La Land cafe, but made it blue #IYKYK.

I wasn't adventurous enough to give a go on PBJ latte, but I did go for one of their most fave, the Vanilla Latte. It was super good morning caffeine dose for me as the coffee was strong and the vanilla syrup just came at perfect ratio. Learning my lesson and would definitely come...

As soon as we walked in, we fell in love with everything in there.💙 Before I talk about the drinks, let me just say that how lovely their space is. The color variation: blue, red and overall woody tone combines well together. Their merchandises are adorable too(wanted to get the mug so bad). The drinks, came out pretty fast and were tasty👅. We got iced vanilla, june gloom, sweet matcha, and americano. The sweetest one was the matcha and june gloom had a strong tea taste. Vanilla latte had a good amount of sweetness! You can’t open a coffee shop if your americano sucks, you know what I mean😉. Probably will get matcha next time cuz it...
