La Luna Banquet Hall — Attraction in Los Angeles

I will give an honest review. It’s not worth the price tag they charge you. Beautiful venue but their customer service from the valet to the waiters was horrible. To begin their parking lot is tiny, and they make your family members pay $10 dollars i think it was per car. There is absolutely no street parking good luck finding some! If you want to leave it’s a disaster because they have to pull multiple cars out just to let you out. I watched as my cousin pulled up with 3 children 2 toddlers and they were basically screaming at her to get the kids out of the car so I stepped in. They will offer you a priest they know to officiate the 15 or marriage do not go with that priest! I definitely did not like the way he address the 15 year old who was obviously very nervous and put on the spot. He was absolutely rude and he delayed the whole event because not all of our family is catholic so many of them did not know the prayers or people coming in an out. The food was good, but cold, and they served it in a rush. I had not even finished my plate and the waiter was trying to pick it up. I asked other family members and they did the same to them and were very rude. They then served a cider to toast the birthday girl. I took 2 sips the glass still in my hand the the waiter was trying to take it out it my hand. I’m not exaggerating when I say the drink had been served maybe 2 minutes before at that point I was annoyed. The cake was not cut until about 3 hours after dinner once most people were dancing or left. So the waiters just left plates on tables that were not even touched and tossed in the trash 10 minutes later. I’m writing this because I feel this is a beautiful venue and the owners should be proud but you really have to sit and talk to your team about how rude they are to the families that pay for a service and how they treat their guests. One of their employees stole my Samsung Note 8 when i set it down at the drink fountain at the nearby AM/PM. My Google Maps app tracked my phone from the AM/PM over to the La Luna Banquet Hall where it stayed for the next 4 hours. I went there and spoke to the manager about the situation and explained i didnt want to press charges, i just wanted my phone back. He called down some black guy who was WAYYYYYY overly animated and was very obviously the person who took my phone. This man's deamenor was one of a person who was trying to make the problem go away by acting threatening. Nobody who had no involvement with the phone being taken would have acted in the manner he did. It was ridiculous how childish he was acting and how very obvious he was who did it.

Later that day, the AM/PM management showed me the footage of who took the phone.. and just as i suspected.. it was the person who was flipping out over at La Luna.

I had to catch a flight the next morning and since i had insursnce on my phone, i just paid the $175 for my replacement.

But let me warn anyone considering using this place:

THE EMPLOYEE OF THIS BUSINESS STOLE MY $1,000 NOTE 8 and even after being given the chance to give it back without me calling the cops or filing charges he thought it was best to get in my face and lie.

It wasnt worth my time to file a police report.

I have the screenshots which show my phone being tsken there by the employee. It shows it leave AM/PM and at walking pace go to La Luna where it remained for the next 4 hours up until i had the service shut off and went to La Luna to ask the manager for his help. Of which he didnt do much at all. As a manager i expected him to be far more eager to assist. I can only imagine what it would be like to have an event here. Peoples wallets disappearing, and cellphones disappearing..

What a bad experience from the security guards to the venue. The security guards are very rude disrespectful lack of empathy. They need to hire better security with much better communication skills instead of ruthless ones with their unnecessary comments. The Hall looks very promising but everything was so rush! I wouldn’t recommend this banquet hall. The food was cold when served, the alcohol beverage was water down even tho family had to pay for it not included in the package!
