This was a thoroughly disappointing experience. I had to go order that consisted of traditional pad, Thai with shrimp, and coconut soup.
The pricing on the soup and the quality and portion was fair in this day and age. But the pad Thai was shrimp was outrageously priced and so underwhelming.
It was just one meal for a female, and it was not enough food for dinner, and the price came in past $50 for one pad Thai dish, one beverage, and one small soup. It had to be the greatest Thai food of all time to even warrant that price and it was hardly that.
One of the shrimp was actually rotten, I took one bite of it and it had that spongy awful Texture and was clearly rancid. Which then scared me for taking a bite of the rest of the shrimp for the rest of the meal, since you can’t tell from the outside.
The fact that the kitchen is not checking, the quality of the fish was very alarming.
The woman on the phone when I called BACE did not speak English, she didn’t understand and kept thinking I was trying to place another order. So I asked for the manager, and she said “not here, not here call tomorrow“
I left my information and not surprisingly. Nobody bothered to call back, And given how crowded it was and how far behind they were on takeout orders when I showed up. I’m guessing they’re not really caring that one particular customer might’ve had a pretty awful experience.
I also purchased one bottle of beer, to go, and it was excessively priced – seriously, it was $14 for a bottle of beer, which I didn’t catch until I was swiping my credit card. Do you really have to gouge customers that much? Are you that hard up that you need to charge us three times what it would’ve cost in the liquor store three stores away?
As there’s about 50 Thai restaurants in this area, I would highly suggest going to one of them. This place does not value your business and the fact that the kitchen is not carefully checking seafood, was again frightening and made for a very Unpleasant...
Read moreWe didn’t know what to expect on a quiet Sunday night, but we were SO IMPRESSED with the food. It was excellent, and some of the best Thai we’ve enjoyed in a long while (and I used to live in Thai Town). We ordered the crispy fried tofu, the yellow curry with beef, and kung pao chicken (technically a Chinese dish, but my boyfriend lived in China for seven years and loved it). The portions are also quite generous, especially with the meat.
Service was very attentive and our server was very kind and we had a nice quick conversation. She is originally from Thailand.
They have beer and wine too!
I’m glad they moved in to Ventura, giving us something besides sushi to enjoy (not that I don’t love sushi). They also have great lunch specials that we will definitely try in the future! Ventura is full of expensive, high-end restaurants that I love, but if you’re looking for fantastic, affordable Thai food, this is a...

Also had the glass noodle soup which was also great. The service was great. Our server was super sweet and attentive. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean. Their to go orders were constant! A+ all around. Will be returning to try some friend rice next time. Came back for more. This time adding the sticky rice and mango desert. Delicious! We were also gifted a tote bag which was a pleasant surprise. Overall a great restaurant with a really kind and friendly staff. Can’t recommend this...
