Greek Souvlaki Kitchen — Restaurant in Los Angeles

It was my first time coming here tonight on a spontaneous whimThe mostly positive reviews and the great food porn uploaded of each dish on the menu sold me, so I decided to check it out.

I ordered greek fries, a small greek salad and baklava. The baklava was my favorite, followed by the fries and then the salad.

Had the salad had a bed of romaine lettuce underneath the abundant amount kamalative olives, red onion and feta, I would have given my order a 5 star review.

I also have mixed feelings about the fresh dill on top of the fries since dill has such an overpowering taste and it can ruin a potentially good dish’s flavor, and I prefer cilantro and garlic to dill and feta.

But, besides the feta, there was no melted parmasesn cheese or a sauce of any kind, only crumbled feta, and no protein like beef, pork or lamb, so the fries were a little bare leaving me disappointed somewhat, but they were still good and it was a huge portion. But for $14.95. there better have been a butt load of fries (and more toppings.)

Overall though,the food was satisfying, I’d recommend the place to others and I’d come back again and give more of...

The decoration is good. You can tell they made everything with love... But

Pros: the ingredients, the presentation, service speed. Fries was thick and crispy. Shawarma was wrapped in the foil type of packaging to keep it warm.

Cons: the price is not cheap for the Beef and Lamb with fries - $17 after tax. The beef was kinda chewy, the shawarma was pretty dry. And my main issue with it is the taste. It was absolutely tasteless. Is Greek food is supposed to taste like that? I felt like the meat or fries was cooked in an old oil - it had that bitter taste to it. The seating is placed right next to the front door and it was pretty uncomfortable to get all the wind from it.

Not coming back and I recommend owners to rethink their Shawarmas. Good luck...

The owner is so sweet! Very kind and they are genuinely open the hours listed. I always get the Falafel Sandwich and it never disappoints! It's about an 8" sandwich, great portions, and it comes with a large portion of French fries free of extra charge. + sauces are included, it's a great price for a lot of food!! Fries are good crinkle cuts too. Also, one time a falafel fell during preparation, so the owner offered to make me more but I said it was okay so then he gave me a free dessert that night. WEEKS later he spots me in the tea shop next door and makes me a free falafel sandwich. I wish I had cash on me so I could tip him right now! Highly recommend! Great people,...
