This great place is small, so slow down or you will miss it. It is ever so cute inside. It has fun art that my grandson loves. It is super clean and just a fun place to go.
It is Israeli food, but also quite American as well. It has a wonderful Mediterranean flare. All of their food is Kosher, which is always nice and all of it is just great. The menu is not huge, but it does not need to be. They have something for everyone.
We love the service. Some of the servers have been there awhile and they know everything and if you are looking for other Kosher places or even a Temple if you are a visitor, they have you covered. The servers are always smiling and are great with kids. It is super family friendly.
We love all their food, but a must have is their Matza Ball soup. It is perfection from the soup to the Matza Ball. You can get it in a cup or bowl.
We have been here a few times over the years, sometimes for breakfast and other times for lunch. Their Shakshukah is a great way to start your morning. It is a wonderful breakfast item. It comes with eggs and salad with a great home made tomato sauce. They also have just eggs if you want.
For lunch we love the Israeli Vegetables Salad, which has Finely cut assorted vegetables with lemon dressing, tomatoes and cucumber. It is the bomb. If you want to be daring, get their combination salad, which is a combination of all their salads. It is so good.
Their Humus is great and has a wonderful lemon juice and olive oil. All of their Pita sandwiches are tasty as well. Another favorite is their grilled salmon. It is cooked perfectly and you will love the fresh flavor.
There is not one thing not to like here, so go and have...
Read moreI'm in from the East Coast, staying in MDR, and there are not many kosher options that far West. I ate at Habayit Restaurant yesterday, not expecting much from the only game in town. My expectations were far exceeded, when I realized the food at this little place was as authentic and tasty as my days spent living in Israel.
I walked in to an absolutely spotless, nice seating area and was served by the owner, a gem of a guy. I ordered their homemade hummus and a plate of schnitzel, just playing it safe. The server brought out (gratis) pickled vegetables to die for, fresh pita, and a falafel ball to try. The hummus came out, an elaborate plate of hummus, tehini, olive oil, garnished with Israeli spices. Superb, fresh, and refreshing. The falafel was the best I've ever tasted, and I don't say that lightly. We're off to a great start. The schnitzel and fries were served in a generous portion, fresh and crunchy as possible, with a house blend of tasty spices. They served the schnitzel the authentic way, thin strips, with a lemon on the side to squeeze. Heaven.
I highly recommend this restaurant as even a destination for people in other areas of LA. The flavor, freshness, and service rival any other kosher restaurant in LA.
A+ and I'll be...
Read moreThis place is one of West LAs best kept secrets! I work near by and order from here alll the time! The Chicken Shawarma is absolutely delicious! I like to have the cucumber/tomato salad on the side but make sure to ask for an extra Tahim sauce! The green hot sauce is beyond flavorful as well and people I have eaten here with call it super hot which it is, so try it with a tiny bit because it is strong! I eat here at least 3 times a week because it’s simple Kosher food made right every time and everything is super fresh! I have tried their Falafel and it’s awesome too, I am just stuck on the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich! The Baklava is a nice treat if you would like something sweet! Excellent friendly service and if you call something in, it usually takes about 10 minutes and it’s ready to pick up! Highly recommended! Don’t pass this place up, it’s too good, I have had a ton of my customers rave about this spot as well, they...
