I honestly don't have enough words to express my love for the Wags Club. Both of my dogs have been going to Wags for 3+ years, and we've had nothing but positive experiences. I've tried a number of dog daycare facilities over the years, and this is by far the best. A few things stand out to me about the Wags Club:
Their facilities are fantastic. They have a huge open yard with astroturf, slides, beds and a kiddie pool for hot days. They also have a nice cool indoor area where the dogs can come inside for breaks or when it rains. I was taken on a tour of the facility and can attest to the cleanliness and openness first hand. It is awesome!
The people are amazing. The staff members here truly loves dogs. Rest assured, if you take your dog to Wags, he / she / they will be entertained, monitored and loved by the staff as if they were their own. If you have any question in your mind, just check out their Instagram Story and you can see for yourself. :)
They're extremely organized and maintain detailed records about all of the dogs (medical, personalities, etc.). When I drop them off for daycare or overnight stays, they print their notes and tape them to their food containers. This is particularly important to me, as my older dog is on a number of medications for arthritis and I want to ensure she's in good care while I'm away. They also maintain daily report cards. If my dog throws up in the yard because he played too hard after breakfast, they literally email me RIGHT AWAY to let me know. I never feel like I'm out of the loop.
They go the extra mile for you. When I had to travel for work for 2+ weeks, they coordinated with my dog's physical therapy office so she could get picked up and dropped off for her PT sessions 2x / week.
If I could leave more than 5 stars, I would. We love you, Wags Club, and appreciate everything you do!
PS - pro tip! If you are going to take your dogs regularly, do yourself a favor and buy the gold package. It's the best deal and you get some great freebies - e.g., baths and...
Read moreI have been using the wags club for about 8 months now. I was hesitant to bring my dog there because she is a rescue and weird around other dogs. I decided to try it though for the days I can’t give her much exercise and for boarding if I go on a trip where I can’t take her.
The first time there I showed my proof of vaccination and then spent about an hour waiting while they monitored my dog in the back area. They eventually came out and said my dog passed the test and is set up to come for daycare. I brought her in a few days later and have been ever since.
-They are 100% cage free, even for boarding. The only time they use a cage is when feeding the dogs (obviously).
-They are strict with vaccinations and they make sure to email you a reminder when one is coming up. They also offer a service ($30) to take your dog to the local vet and get the shot.
-The staff are awesome. They remember both me and my dogs names and greet us whenever we walk in.
-Drop off is easy, takes less than 3 minutes, usually only 1. Pick up never takes more than 3-10 min depending on how busy they are.
-They offer a full set of grooming services.
-They take pictures of the dogs everyday and sometimes get great ones. It is a pain to look through the 500+ pictures they hope but is definitely worth it.
The only thing I wish they would change is the way they bill for daycare. It is $45 a night already, which is already a bit pricey. (although normal for this area) My issue is the fact that they charge an extra $35 if you drop your dog off before 4pm and then another 20-35 if you pick up your dog past 2pm. This seems like price gouging and my experiences with several other daycare/boarding places is that they just charge the usual nightly rate no matter when you drop them off.
Regardless, I would say they are a solid 4.5 stars and would be a 5 star company if they changed the boarding drop off policy. I didn’t knock them to a 4 because that doesn’t do them justice and they are...
Read moreMy dog has been coming to the Wags Club for 4 years and we absolutely love it. I have tried multiple other boarding places in LA and here is why I love Wags and am a loyal customer. They treat my pup like their own. The staff is so welcoming and sweet to my dog, they greet him by name when he comes in and he is so excited to be there. If I need information about him or just miss him while I'm away they are great at answering DMs and sending pictures. I love their strict vaccine policy and health policy. It makes me feel really good about boarding my dog here. If you are behind on a vaccine, they can make an appointment for you with their vet, which is a helpful service if you're in a pinch. My dog has been sent home for health issues before and while that can be a challenge, knowing that when my dog is the healthy one, they prioritize his health so much makes me feel so much more at ease. I'd rather them be this strict than loose (and I know from experience other places aren't as strict....and my dog got sick at those!!!) I love that the dogs are outside all day! It grossed me out that most boarding places are indoor and when we first started boarding my dog, when he'd come home from an indoor place, he would pee inside because he was used to doing that!! I love that he plays all day! At other boarding places, play was limited to a few hours (at one place 2 (!!)) and the rest of the day they stayed in a kennel. My dog is very social, so I like that he is getting tons of play and stimulation at Wags. Their prices are very reasonable! The only thing I wish they did was charge in 24 hour increments instead of check in/check out times, but this really isn't such a big deal. The baths! My dog smells SO GOOD for SO LONG after he gets...
