would have made a higher review because the food and margaritas were quite good. However the waiter service we got was absolutely atrocious. He was less than friendly and seemed annoyed with us. He messed up my order and then blamed me for it rather than apologizing and making it right (also half the time I could barely understand anything he was saying). The icing on the cake was he charged my friend's card wrong. He told my friend the cost of what her order would be but was charged more than 3 times the price she should be charged. There was no apologies from the waiter for the mix up. fixing the charge took way longer than it needed to be. I mean I've never heard of anyone having to call the manager/owner on the phone just to fix a charge mixup. Anyways that being said, the food was good so props to the kitchen staff and the bar tender but due to our horrendous experience with the waiter staff, we will not be bringing our...
Read moreThis restaurant is very delicious. Staff is great. For some reason today the chef seemed to get my order wrong not once but twice. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Tostada. When they brought my food out it looked so good. But as I tried to pick up the tostada it was completely wet. The crunchy corn tortilla was soaked from the "boiled" not grilled chicken that they put on top of the tostada. And they put refried beans under it. How the heck was I supposed to pick it up and eat it. So they took it back. I ordered a combination plate of 1 carnita crunchy taco, which comes with rice and beans and a salad. They brought me 1 "boiled" chicken taco not the carnita that I ordered. Forgot to bring the beans and rice. I had to ask for them to bring it out. I asked them to just take my good back. I wasn't going to eat. Then they over charged us for the beers. Very disappointed today at this restaurant. Hopefully this don't happen to...
Read moreThis is definitely your quintessential neighborhood family restaurant. You can’t go in here without either running into neighbors or neighbors constantly saying hi and talking to each other as they walk by each other’s tables. It’s just a great place to relax and have a solid margarita with your friends and neighbors. Now, as for the overall quality of the food, it’s honestly just okay. I wouldn’t qualify anything as “bad” but nothing that really stands out as anything better than a hole in the wall Mexican joint you can find strewn about west LA. Really, what keeps us coming back are our friends, the margs, and the incredibly friendly service. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is for someone just passing through, and who doesn’t have those neighborhood ties may be a bit disappointed in the food itself. If you know anyone in the Westchester/Playa Vista area, you’re going to run into them here...
