The eggplant dish was burning hot. They should know that eggplants will keep lots of heat and stick it to your mouth. I suggest they cook it and eat it themselves before serving it to customers. Their Nasumiso is chopped up into squares and served in a bowl instead of the actual nasumiso where it is halved eggplant with skin intact and grilled equivalent of Mexican chile relleno or Filipino tortang talong the veggie is grilled so it is not so damn hot and full of sauce. The first bite burnt my tongue. I waited for 10 minutes and it was still super burning hot like I was eating burning coal. The waitress ignored me 3 times when I said it is hot. The waiter later came and was being defensive and said they make food nice and hot but burning tongue hot? Come on. The Northridge roll was salty and they covered it with lots of sweet taste which turned out super disgusting. The plate has some hot shrimp covered with white sauce kelpi mayo that looked like bird poop. Again. Cold sushi mixed with hot shrimpy slime made the sushi taste unpleasant. I tried to finish the sushi roll because I was hungry coming back from my gun training. but threw up when I got home. I barely ate the #17. The beef steak was too chewy to the point I just can't eat it anymore and the sashimi was not cold. They tried to cover it with sesame, onions and two pieces got a lemon slice in between. I have never seen any sashimi master do that. It is always served immediately cold without tempered garnish on the sashimi. If there is any garnish, it is ice. Yet the beef doesnt havw garnish other than a piece of leaf. This is also a closed kitchen the chef looks like a middle-aged woman. It is not Asian owned. The rice was mushy non-Japanese style. More of your local Mexican Spanish rice style without the Spanish spice. Filipino style more likely. I gave them one star for the shrimp tempura and the miso soup. The Wasabi was darker than usual I suspect it was from the cheap Wasabi tubes. No Wasabi stamping art--Just a squeeze. The waitress also put the food all over the place. Didn't take any control of the situation. The waiter said she is new staff. I It was utmost unpleasant experience specially my tongue got burned. I have passed by this shop dozens of times but I will keep passing this place and also all of my friends have been warned. I thought this is a hidden gem but the ratings here is indeed hyped. Not a 4.6 but 2.9 is more realistic. Please hone your skill and actually learn to cook correctly with open kitchen. The waiter took off the nasumiso for me but at this point I didn't care I just wanted to leave immediately and go home because I was disappointed. It is just so unfair the Pakistani restaurants across serves seriously real good food but they don't have as many customers as this fake sushi shop.

I am so disappointed with Hirosa. I was going there to pick up salmon skin salad at least twice a week and the quality varied; we noticed sometimes it was mostly just FAT and way too much salad..however, I continued to support..until.. I called one day and was told that they were out of salmon skin..? What? To wait a week and try again. So I did and I ordered ( btw I usually ordered 2 salmon skin salads per order)..it was HORRIBLE, almost rotten but not quite. I cannot really describe it..my daughter spat hers out and we threw both salads away.. Sorry to say we will never be ordering salmon skin salad from there again; I may order the udon soup one more time but I hesitate. Overall quality is way down from when I first started to get food from this place. Sadly, I cannot honestly recommend here. There are one or two really friendly and pleasant staff members but that can't make up for the poor tasting food.

Very hungry, forgot to take food pics. Spicy tuna roll, good flavor. Chicken appetizer, not sure of the name. Dry needed some kind of sauce. 3 item combo, tempura, sashimi (salmon & tuna) and beef teriyaki. Fish was fresh. Tempura crunchy but good. Beef was tender not chewy. Salmon entree flavorful. Would have never known this place was there. Tough location. We went early on Thursday. Easily found a table. Only saw about 10 tables. Parking could be a problem if very busy. Overall, good flavor. Worthy of another visit.

The food here is amazing!!! First off they have very well sized portions. I promise you, you will get full. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with veggies and an order of the northridge rolls. The chicken teriyaki was soft and moist. It also came with some type of salad but not your typical salad and it paired very well with the chicken; dipped in the terriyaki sauce adds more flavor. The northridge rolls were outstanding!!! The rolls come with more than 5 that’s for sure! I don’t know the exact number. It also came with scallops mixed with cream cheese. It was also amazing obviously!!! I also tried my friends crunchy roll and of course it was perfection as well. Great respects to the family business. The fact that their son was the only waiter there when I went is even more impressive. He handled everything so quickly and smoothly. Also, from what I saw, he greeted everyone in the same energy and kindness. The food, customer service, restaurant decor is perfect. Everything is perfect. I will definitely be coming back to taste everything else...

Was on my way home one day and happened to catch this place on the side near Skateland and I was honestly feeling adventurous, even though I knew I'd love whatever sushi were to be given. I go inside and I take a look at the dinner specials and see they got a good selection for the prices provided as well! I'm not a big fan of Spicy Tuna, but I happened to order the Spicy Tuna Rice Cakes and the moment I had one of the five pieces of the order, I actually fell in love with it. I always get the Spicy Tuna Rice Cakes every visit from Hirosa! With the chile oil along with a refreshing avocado slice on top, it makes for a dish meant to be savored. This restaurant has so many more exquisite dishes to choose from, not only providing great and unique tastes for you to enjoy, but to keep an eye for not spending too much for your wallet's sake as well! Overall, it's a great place to relax and enjoy some quality sushi for reasonably low prices and feel at home when indulging in nearly every savory...
