Jim's Burgers — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I thought that their hamburgers were absolutely delicious. The hamburger tasted charbroiled and it was juicy. It was so good to the point where I'm thinking of it right now. I also got an order of chili cheese fries. They give you a lot, so beforethe worker brought us our food, I was expecting to be disappointed because nowadays places give small portions even for large chili cheese fries. But this place was a pleasant surprise because I couldn't believe how much they gave me. It had lots of cheese. It was like they put extra cheese on it. The chili cheese fries were delicious but the chili could use a little bit more flavor. My mom got a burger and fries. They gave her a colossal amount of fries and they were delicious. I've never seen a place that gives that much french fries. I would definitely go back but I would get the guacamole fries. I had no idea that they had those otherwise I would have gotten them instead of chili cheese fries (guacamole fries are a childhood favorite of mine).

They charge $1 for a refill. I think they should x that out because their food is expensive.

The workers were okay. Not really friendly not unfriendly.

Long time local here. Been coming ever since I was a kid. Food has always been great for the most part. However, I should warn people if the old lady owner is there you’re not going to get the expected amount of fries we are all used to getting here. Today I went for lunch and got my usual cheeseburger special. I saw them loading my order into the bag when I look over at the old lady (she was in charge of putting fries in) and she put in the order of fries, looks down into the bag and literally says, “oh that’s too many fries” takes the bag out and puts in another order of fries with less in them. Now as I said I’ve been coming here for the past 20 years… can I overlook them using other business drink cups, sure. (Long timers know what I’m talking about lol) Do I mind them charging more money when the lady is there, don’t care. 1.25 for a cup of water? Meh. But for them to now nickel and dime you on the amount of fries is sadly the last straw for me. Even though the food is good, especially the fries I won’t be back. Jims has a bit of history at boylehights the staff is friendly and always give more then what you pay for. I bought some side of fries for 2.99 and i ended up getting a whole small bagg full that was almost 3 times more then mc donalds and not just that there fries are 10 times better. Aswell the food takes around 10 min to be served not a bad wait time since they cook everything in front of you and they dont have much pre made.
