A really nice and nostalgic coffee shop run by students. A little bit crowded during the day obviously... but fast and friendly service. The coffee seems a little watered down compared to coffee bean but it's still pretty good. The pastries and snacks all seem over-priced and seem unhealthy and are probably full of High Fructose Corn Syrup and other cheap ingredients that make me fat. I wish there was just a small cookie for 50 cents to have a bit or two with my coffee. The place could really use a renovation but at the same time the classic setup reminds me of my days as a student. I'm so glad UCLA didn't allow Starbucks or some other greedy corporation to do business on campus. Please upgrade the piano, and add some real plants, change the carpet, maybe refurbish some of the other features. Read moreThis is a very nice looking Cafe on the 2nd floor of Kerckhoff Hall on the main UCLA campus. The building is very impressive and historic. The interior of the Cafe has alot of character with antique looking tables, chairs and medieval style windows. There is also large courtyard seating next to the Cafe.
The Coffee, mixed blend, I had was very good as were the raspberry and cinnamon pastries.
This Cafe is very conducive to studying and meeting people in a warm, classical atmosphere.

Regardless if you dont need to connect to a power point or can stand summer heat, there's a lot of outside seating (dont even have to order a drink and there's free wifi everywhere on UCLA campus - with some email reception limitation tho). chairs might be dusty outside and it could get quite windy. no matter what personally i do prefer sitting...
