Schoenberg Hall has a lot of potential for students at UCLA, but it is really a pain to try and practice here. UCLA does not have enough resources for those trying to learn musical instruments, the piano in particular. It is absurdly hard sometimes to find a room to practice in, and Schoenberg's hours are ridiculously short. It closes much too early. I should be able to go down at 10:00 pm if I want to go and practice; God knows the music rooms on the hill are NEVER open. It wouldn't hurt anybody for me to just tinker around on the pianos later at night. It's not like I'm going to steal something or break a nice grand piano.
