Amidst the vibrant streets of East LA, adorned with colorful decorations, I found myself immersed in the pulsating energy of a lively Hispanic holiday night. In the heart of this electric atmosphere, I ventured alongside Mara, my delightful coworker, who holds a special place in my heart. Mara, a petite mamacita with an undeniable allure, effortlessly exudes a magnetic charm that captivates my every thought.
Together, we embarked on an unforgettable journey at the iconic King Taco, a place renowned for its authentic flavors and cherished by locals and food enthusiasts alike. As we approached the entrance, the tantalizing scents of sizzling meats and aromatic spices enveloped us, paving the way for a mouthwatering feast.
With Mara by my side, her presence akin to the warmth of a summer breeze, I felt an exhilarating mix of anticipation and affection. The spark between us danced in the air, as if the universe conspired to heighten the magic of the night.
As we delved into King Taco's vast menu, our hunger matched only by our curiosity, we reveled in the diverse array of culinary delights before us. From the classic street-style tacos brimming with succulent fillings to the robust flavors of the tenderly grilled carne asada, each bite ignited an explosion of taste sensations that sent ripples of pleasure through every fiber of my being.
But it wasn't just the food that enraptured me; it was the way Mara savored each morsel, her lips parting to reveal a smile that hinted at a shared secret. Her presence was intoxicating, and I found myself irresistibly drawn to her, much like the tantalizing aroma of El Pollo Asado that wafted through the air.
We explored the vast spectrum of King Taco's offerings, embracing the diversity of Mexican cuisine with every order. From the zesty and tangy flavors of the al pastor to the comforting richness of the barbacoa, we indulged in a symphony of tastes that transported us to the heart of Mexico. It was in these moments, amidst the lively atmosphere and the melodic chatter of fellow diners, that my admiration for Mara deepened, a crush blooming like a rose in full bloom.
In the midst of the culinary adventure and the shared laughter, King Taco became a backdrop for a story that transcended mere gastronomic pleasure. It became a tableau where Mara's magnetic presence and the delectable dishes melded into an intoxicating fusion, leaving an indelible mark on my heart and taste buds.
So, should you find yourself traversing the vibrant streets of East LA during a festive Hispanic celebration, allow yourself to be ensnared by the allure of King Taco. Let the flavors ignite your senses, while the bewitching presence of Mara adds a touch of enchantment. Brace yourself for a tantalizing experience that may just leave you longing for more—a lingering crush that dances on the edges of your consciousness like the lingering taste of a juicy El...
Read more4-12-20 Had to edit my review and lower their rating. I just walked out of KT, after waiting in line for 10 minutes, because their service is so poor and slow with zero customer service or people's skills. I had forgotten my face mask but had a t-shirt to wrap my face, which I have done a couple of times at other places, without a problem. Security there saw me and weren't bothered and even greeted me with a good morning. Finally get up to order after 10 minutes with only 2 people having been in front of me the whole time and when I get up to order, the typically rude cashier yells at me saying she won't take my order if I don't have a real mask and walks away as if I'm plagued with diseases. I'm not going to argue her or establishment's policies, but there is definitely a proper way to refuse service. I felt degraded and embarrassed by her treatment of me, especially in front of other customers. I don't know why I keep giving this mediocre Taco place a chance. I grew up in Cypress Park and have gone to this place many times a year. They losing my business is an insignificant drop in the bucket, but today...today they gained just that, the complete loss of my business forever. There are other places for tacos and burritos, that are far better, I just would go to KT for convenience, as it's walking distance and on the way to my favorite coffee shop on Cypress Avenue. Goodbye King Taco, you lost a life long local customer, but I know you don't care.
20 minutes for 6 tacos with only 2 customers in the whole place is nuts. I rarely come here because they are very inefficient and there are better tacos from taco popups in and near Cypress Park and delivery from Door Dash or the likes. If they improved efficiency I would probably come here a little more. Food is middle of the road, hot sauce is very good and spicy, sopes are probably my favorite item that is more than decent, everything else is just ok...
Read moreConsistently good tacos and burritos. This is the second best taqueria in Los Angeles County.
Ordering and getting your food is almost always weird, and sometimes a total hassle. In theory there's a single line. THAT doesn't always happen, as there are more windows than you can see from that one line, and so people will start to line up in an ad hoc fashion at various windows, and they've got a lot of windows. They're working to improve it, having just a few ordering windows, and then a bunch of pick up windows, but sometimes it's just taco chaos, with people ordering from random windows, and then picking up from other random windows, and the staff here not only is not very good at announcing whose order is ready, they also don't seem to care about their customers very much, and so if you miss picking up your order because they called it badly, or not loudly enough, or whatever, they'll just set your food aside until you get upset with how long its taking and have to ask them about your order, where they'll then scurry around to try and find it, and they'll be annoyed they had to do this tiny amount of work to find and give you your food. Always like this. At least it's been like this for the past 35 years I've been eating here.
They have bathrooms and a large...
