More Tacos, No Borders! Taqueria Frontera is hands down the place to be every day if you’re craving authentic Mexican flavor. Full disclosure: I know the owner personally, but that only makes me more invested in giving you the real deal—because trust me, this foodie doesn’t play when it comes to tacos.
Dios mío, the flavors at this taqueria will have you feeling like you’re in the heart of Tijuana. As someone who travels the world, I’ve eaten at countless places, but this spot hits differently. With dual citizenship and yearly trips to Mexico, I’ve visited taquerias all over the country, and Taqueria Frontera genuinely captures that authentic taste.
The handmade tortillas are fresh off the press, and the tacos? Perfectly greasy in all the best ways. The guacamole is thick and rich, and the salsas pack that extra grasa you can’t fake. Even the simplest things—the rábanos, onions, and cilantro—taste just like they were picked from a market in Mexico.
If you haven’t been yet, this is a must-try. You’ll be craving these tacos weekly, no doubt. Let’s give Taqueria Frontera the recognition it deserves—it’s the real Mexico, auténtico to the core. Ambiance is small order line but plenty of sitting or standing like in Mexico outside. The service is fast and quick, you see the taqueros...
Read moreMy wife saw this place on TicTok and decided to drive out and give them a shot, glad we did cuz the food was really good. We tried the Al Pastor tacos the meat had good flavor and I give bonus points for adding pineapple the salsa is a bit spicy so if you don’t like heat maybe order it on the side my wife tried the lengua which she said was good. We tried the frijoles en vaso(beans in a jar) which is basically frijoles de la olla the beans come with cheese onion cilantro and your choice of meet we did asada which was good but next time I’d like to try them with chorizo. The beans were legit. Also tried an asada torta which was not bad. My first thought was a bit small and the the bread wasn’t as toasted as I was used to, but as I ate it I really enjoyed how buttery soft the bread was the ratio of the meat beans and guac was spot on I was able to finish my torta without the bread disintegrating and the torta falling apart. For $10 bucks it’s not the best torta I’ve had but it was solid. Overall the food here is delicious you can tell everything is handmade, service was good and the workers were friendly. If your in that area...
