Ordered a lunch special chicken pad see eew and a scoop of coconut ice cream for dessert. Got a soup for a starter and a plain unsweet ice tea.
Tea was crisp and light, no burnt flavor when tea is brewed in the same machine as coffee, and no stale flavor either.
Starter soup was a nice chicken broth flavor with bits of tofu, onions, scallions, carrots, and peas. Basically an egg drop soup.
Main dish was a good sized portion for a normal appetite, but may not be enough for people with larger appetites. Good flavors, maybe slightly salty, but that's what the rice is for, to help cut the soy sauce flavor. If anything was lacking, I'd say there was some missing "Thai" flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on, but it was very approachable for most palates.
The coconut ice cream was more of a sorbet. Light, sweet, with good coconut flavor and lots of soft coconut chunks. Likely a young coconut, as mature coconut flesh would be much firmer. I was tempted to get a second scoop, but decided that I've been indulging too much lately and stopped.
Service was good, very attentive for such a small place. Atmosphere was very quaint as the interior is somewhat small, but they have six tables for four people.
On my next visit I will be asking them to make me their most "authentic" dish possible. It was very good, but I just can't help but feel that the flavors were still too "western" oriented. Nothing wrong with that, as the flavors were done well, but I just feel like I wan to try a...
Read moreThis restaurant is so tiny; you might pass right by it a few times if you've never been here, but it's so worth it. Finding a place where you can taste what you eat is tough, but the food is delicious here. They don't use too much salt and oil, which is nice. The service was excellent. The woman working there is super sweet, and she takes care of everyone. I had the Pad See Ew, which was delicious, and my boyfriend ordered one of the curries; I can't remember which one exactly, but he said it was great. My boyfriend knew about this place for years, but it's been a while since his last visit. We ordered from the lunch special, so we also got to choose between a soup or a salad. We chose the salad, and it came with a delicious peanut butter sauce. Yummy!! The restaurant is small but very clean and well-maintained. The AC was working, so it was nice and cold inside. They only had one bathroom, but it was super spacious and clean. If you are in the area, you should...

Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐: Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately noticed the cute and cozy vibes of this mom n pop place. There was one person as the server and one cook in the back.
Food ⭐⭐⭐: the food was just ok. Take-out in general never tastes as good as sitting down and eating at the restaurant, but I ate this within 10 minutes of picking up. I got the pad thai and the noodles were overcooked and too soft. The flavour of the pad thai in general didn't have anything that stood out to me.
Service ⭐⭐: It's not easy to take time off from work when sick, but the person who served me was coughing a lot at the front and they weren't wearing a mask and for someone who's immunocompromised, this was concerning. I wasn't sure if the food or not was safe to eat as it was handled by someone who was sick.
Overall, it looks like a really cute spot for thai food and lots of reviewers love this spot. I don't think i'll be...
