Los Antojitos — Restaurant in Los Angeles

When I entered the restaurant there was a party of 8 to 10 people at a long table. There were a couple of other tables. The waitress was bussing tables, taking orders, cleaning up tables after they were cleared and serving food. Within a minute or so she was able to take my drink order. After bringing me my drink she returned within 3 to 4 minutes to Take my order. I ordered chicken enchiladas which were served with sides of rice and refried beans with a small salad and a tasty red sauce on the enchiladas. the food was hot, tasty and satifying. Very bad service. Once I walked in I felt unwelcome due to the waiter’s facial expressions. I observed how she was rude to a group of police officers and bringing them the wrong order. If she was rude to a group of police officers, what should I expect. I ordered two supposed cafe de olla or as they call two cinnamon coffee, which was the most flavorless coffee I’ve ever had in my life. Cash only place!! But the main complaint for me is the waiter. Yum. A hidden gem. Small family-owned traditional Mexican restaurant on East 1st Street (across from the Hollenbeck police station), just east of St Louis St. Plenty of on street or rear lot parking available. Owner is friendly & aims to please. Salsa is spicy & tasty, Chips are fresh, coffee is hot, smooth and rich with a subtle cinnamon undertone.
