Retrozombie's Readings w/TiffanyRetrozombie's Readings w/Tiffany
NO NEVER AGAIN!!!!! 1 hour later and NO FOOD!!!!!!!!!!! We saw all the white people being served that walked in after us. We are from Boyle Heights, Latinos, and we were NOT served! The waitress took our paper order in an hour later to the kitchen we heard her in Spanish BARELY TAKE THE ORDER IN, after we asked where is our food. We saw people that arrived after us, getting all their food. The place was not packed. Everyone that arrived after us about 15-30 minutes later then us, got their food. We got coffee and soup and two tins of chips. The soup was good but tiny bowl of food. When we arrived people were already sitting and eating their food so there was no orders that were needing to be rushed. So when we placed our order they should have started making the food right? We saw plenty of people come in way after us maybe 10-15 minutes later and they got their food and everybody was eating in front of us and we were wondering where was our food we were very hungry! I have diabetes so I needed to eat something right away. Some of the other waitresses were a little nervous as to why we were not getting food and started asking each other hey where is their food and one of the waitresses came up to us and said hey did you get your food we said no they kept refilling our water and our coffee and our salsa and our chips but we were not getting any food. We spoke with the waitresses in Spanish. We were very nice and polite about asking for our food. As Latinos me and my husband were just ashamed to see Raza not serving Raza. My hands started to shake due to my health problems, I really needed the food, so I just left with my husband, an hour and 15 minutes later, because our food wasn't even started. That was beyond rude and terrible service! There was no air conditioning, the place was so hot inside, the floors looked a little dirty. This has got to be the worst service I've ever had at a restaurant in my life! If you know me you will see my Google reviews as I have a lot of people that take a look at my Google reviews. I wish that I could just give it zero stars but it made me give at least one star. I'm just so ashamed as a Latino person to even experience this! If you came to the review section, just don't go, pick somewhere else to eat.

I wish I'd tried this spot sooner! It's a little hard to notice from the street but inside it is super cute with paintings, lights and decorations everywhere. The service is friendly and it feels like you're at home. Very comfortable and low key. The food is well priced and delicious. We were greeted with chips and shared the azteca molcajete for two which came with soups and individual plates of rice and beans along with the molcajete of meats, panela, and nopales with a delicious sauce. The tortillas were delicious, we had corn, but there is a choice of flour as well. It was a really good value for $41.95 considering we both left full and with left overs. We had beer and it seems like it's very/wine, no spirits. The only thing that would make it better is some music, but there are musicians that come through and ask if you'd like something to be played. We were happy to check it out and support a local business with almost 50 years! I will be back.

Unfortunately I had a TERRIBLE experience with the server! We visited on 01/03/2024 at 12:00 p.m. it was not too busy for lunch hour. First the server/hostess saw us and ignored us for a while, We stood by the entrance as the sign instructions stated to wait to be seated. So we waited, until the busser greeted us and led us to our table. He took our drink order as the server continued to ignore us. We asked the busser if we could have a different server, but he stated she was the only one. The server took orders and then resumed ignoring us. If it wasn't for our interaction with the busser, this would have been a total failure. Finally we decided to cancel our food and leave, by then it was already 12:46 pm. We traveled a long way in hopes of enjoying good food and joined the good reviews from others, but that did not happen.

it's December 12, 2014 8:50 my two regrets tonight is 1) going to this restaurant instead of the other one and 2) not taking pics of this experience (it was about almost half empty) I just left the restaurant with my family (7 adults we had the corner with the two tables in front of the bar) let me start by saying that I've been to the other la parrilla on Wilshire and had high hopes it was going to be the same on both service and food I got totally let down they took our food order first left to place it and about five mins if not more got to place our order for drinks and we are right in front of the bar ok, usually they bring you a little cup of soup we didn't get any but the people that came after us sure did, they brought us the two queso con chorizo we ordered with a few tortillas just for one of our tables and no plates, they brought my chicken and asada fajitas on the Comal and my sister's coctel de Camarones and after ten mins I finally got my plate (with rice and beans) and tortillas while everyone else is just watching for another 10-15 mins my chicken and asada fajitas (which I always order in the other one) it all tasted kind of burnt pretty much no flavor on it at all my sister's coctel de Camarones was horrible the shrimps look like when you have your fingers in water for too long all wrinkly and tasted just as bad my soda nor my tortillas never once got refilled once or got asked if I needed a refill, the other thing that was annoying me was a kid asking me to buy him some candy twice before my food came and after I ate my food when I was really craving something sweet to get the taste out of my mouth the kid was no where to be found another thing they usually have music; a dj, mariachi, or groupo playing but over here they had guys walking around table to table selling songs for $10 overall this experience was horrible and hopefully nobody else has to go through this same experience and if anybody has gone through this I'm personally recommending you the one on Wilshire you will be way happier I...

I had a simple order of beans, eggs, and bacon, but somehow they managed to mess that up. To get a simple appetizer of sals and chips it took more than 10 ten minutes, another ten f, order for drinks, five to get them, and another 10 minutes to order My food. I recieved a small flat layer, and yes a flat layer, of beans, half the size of a tic tac. I only got 1 scrambled egg even though I said sunny side up and the description of the plate clearly said eggs, not to mention that my bacon was as hard as the chips it took so long for them to get. I am a frequent costumer and hold nothing but this against the restaurant, but today was an acception. On regular days, this may have a chance of being well, but as for this visit, I cannot say the same. What I can say is always the same is the staff attitude. Every time I asked for more Orchard or a spoon and fork, she would always walk away as fast as she could to nothing, she didn't leave to another table or to the kitchen, she just walks off and stands. But the worst example of just not caring about a job was when I asked for more beans and she just said to get some from a friend's plate. Many things are wrong with this statement. First of all its a person's duty as a waiter to satisfy and tend to a costumers every need to make sure that he or she has a good experience at the restaurant. Second of all, why would the waiter mind if I get more beans or not, they are not the ones who pay for the food. This person is mentioned in many comments and should be FIRED SOON PLEASE. If this business is to thrive, this person needs to be let go. This restaurant may have been good in the past, and it can be as long as this woman is let go. All who agree please like this comment and comment the same thing...
