I've been with this bank for years and have been treated abominably many times. Once, while speaking to a banker in one of their branches, i asked if they even wanted my business and he just glared at me silently. After that, i did receive some decent customer service off and on. It was redeeming enough to justify not changing banks. The covid crisis seems to have exposed the true nature of these corporations. A merchant denied refunding my money for a faulty product "becuase of covid", as if that's a reason to reduce consumer protections! After spending over TWELVE HOURS, on the phone and in person, to get a reasonable remedy, i am still denied. Chase representatives seemed to relush the distress and pain they were causing. I am handicapped ad i have been made physically ill by the maltreatment of this gigantic corporate monster. The worst wre the "supervisors" Shan and Keisha. Keisha was so dismissive. I asked the names of the people I'd registered complaints about, at the end of the conversation, and she had none! The only neme she could tell me was mine! Insane! The atms outside donāt always work, and unfortunately due to the conditions in Boyle heights, youāll have some people doing crazy things around this bank. It looks very run down and the atms are always out. Itās also the only chase near by. Youād have to go to Monterey park or little Tokyo.
They do have a security inside and Iāve also noticed one outside and a very nice lady that helps outside. As much as those things are helpful, itās hard to see the place look so run down when there are so many people who form long lines to access their money. It would be nice to see the place more revitalized. But I also understand that sometimes people will vandalize it so whatās the point.

Teller #2 told me that I could have my checking account closed at the branch but I could not open a new checking account because "there was not a banker at the branch".
