This place went horrifically downhill. The pickup is beyond messy, if you are willing to fight them (like me) you will wait for 45 mins, if you are like my friend and not willing to fight them, you will wait for 1.5 hours, only for them to finally hear you and direct you to the right place.
The second you open your mouth they’re just like “where’s your text from whatever” and you’re sitting there like I don’t have a text and it’s been 1h? Doesn’t matter, they dgaf.
The rules are constantly changed on when/where you pick up from (front or back of building) based on day/time and instead of asking if you’re a delivery driver or pickup, they just assume and send you to their bullshit automated system. So my poor friend sat there for 1.5h waiting for food, and during this time she saw multiple altercations with the staff. Delivery drivers getting banned from there because they’re so frustrated with the staff and don’t let me get started on the parking lot.
This place is a liability disaster waiting to happen and honestly this kitchen alone deserves an investigation that should result in new laws to regulate these ghost kitchens who just want to maximize profit at everyone else’s expense & safety.
Delivery from any app is the same, because the delivery driver is going through the same thing x6 other orders. So it’s always delayed by double the ETA, and by the time it gets to you everything is cold & soggy.
Fries are inconsistently seasoned and even though they charge you for extra sauce it’s very hit or miss if you will get it.
This was my go-to for fried chicken sandwiches but just not worth it anymore, too many alternatives to go through...
Read moreOverall, the food came out pretty good. I did a pre-order and pickup and the food was hot and fresh. That being said, I was not completely pleased with their service.
I'm not usually one to go out of my way to leave an unhappy review because I work in a restaurant and I understand that things happen sometimes. But when establishments provide the option for customers to include special requests or instructions then it would be nice to feel confident those instructions will be acknowledged - even if that means letting customers know that the restaurant can't actually make the changes rather than having them be surprised.
I ordered 2 chicken sandos and specifically requested that pickles be left off. I also requested that the MC sauce be included on the side rather than on the sandwich.
I probably should've checked at the restaurant before leaving to make sure everything was OK, but in reality that is something that customers shouldn't have to do. l was initially rattled when I got home and took a bit of the sandwich and noticed that the taste was off because there were pickles on the sandwiches.
Though I wasn't happy about, I got over it because I'm not the type of person to drive back to a restaurant and make a big deal if I'm not deathly impacted by the oversight. The sandwich was overall still tasty and the seasoning was good, but I'd be wary of including any special directions for them to follow as they may not get them right. Or double check before...
Read morePart of the Colony, which houses a bunch of other restaurants under one roof. Came here on a Thursday night to grab dinner with a friend around 7 to catch up. There’s some long tables with high chairs where you can sit and chat, but the place is small and most people just came in to grab their order and then leave. The chicken tenders themselves came in 3 for the combo alongside fries. The fries are crinkle-cut and have a sweet, subtle heat. I got a medium heat, which I thought was a good spice level (I do like spicy). There was enough food for me to have leftovers for dinner the next day, but you could definitely split with someone and be full. The chicken sandwich was just a tender between bread and with coleslaw so I didn’t think it was worth getting.
You can order your food at one of the touch pads where you can customize your order and print out a receipt. They’ll call our your name once the food is ready. They’re not the friendliest, and I think this place is more of a take-out type of spot. No parking lot, so just find street parking on one of the side streets. There’s one gender neutral bathroom and no free water (so bring a water bottle, or purchase a water...
