MARISCOS ISLA AZUL — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Walked in with my two sons, there was a woman sitting at the end of the room at a table with a couple of gentlemen who stared. We said hello & continued to a booth, the restaurant was empty. The woman then suggested a table at the center of the room, I thanked her but declined & proceeded to the booth. We ordered the shrimp cocktail, my son was happy & the presentation was appealing. I ordered fish tacos, bland would not recommend. I also ordered the shrimp ceviche which was raw shrimp in lemon juice topped with purple onion, cucumber, & avocado slices which was ok. Went to eat the so called owner told me they were closed. The lady at the front has a bad attitude. I have been here serval times and loved the food. I went and ate across the way and saw customers walking in and sit down for service!! I have never felt so discriminated against because of the color of my skin! The owner told me she can close at anytime because it’s the slow season. I drove 45 minutes to get food and was treated horribly. If you are African American do not go eat here. They do not want our business!!! I so disgusted and will be reporting to the BBB

I was going to order food for a party, so I called the establishment to place an order. The woman that picked up the phone only spoke Spanish (which is completely understandable), I respectfully asked if I could please talk to someone who spoke English (Yes, I asked in Spanish) but she kept insisting just Spanish.
