"There Was A Whole FLY In one Of My Pupusas"! I've been going to "Mi Casita Salvadorena" since I moved to the valley 2 yrs ago. On my way out of town in July I bought 8 Pupusas for my trip. As soon as I saw the FLY I called in, and was hung up on several times. When I returned from my trip I went in to talk to the owner & I was told I couldn't. I brought them the evidence of the FLY being in my pupusas as well. The young lady said that she kept hanging up on me due to a customer having the music coming from the jukebox blasting & she couldn't hear me or understand me. At first she became very defensive, rude, and unprofessional saying that; "I must have had flies in my house that's how they got in the food", when the fly was clearly Baked & Burnt into the Pupusa. I asked her nicely to please not act that way, I've been coming there for 2 yrs and she's never treated me that way! She's actually always been really nice to me. So she then changed her bad attitude & tone. I told her I would never just make that up, I love those Pupusas, and now my stomach is turned from all Pupusas period!! I requested to talk to the Owner, and was advised I could not because he's always busy running errands buying stuff for all 3 of his Restaurants. I gave the young lady my name, email and phone number, then ask for her to have him contact me ASAP. "I have yet to hear from him". SMH. . . For 99c cent Pupusas daily they're pretty good! I'm really saddened & disappointed by how this is NOT being handled appropriately & professionally. I'm hoping this review will get the Owners, "Not Managers", attention and he'll reach out to me very...
Read moreAs an American-Salvadoran, delicioso! I did not know they were in my neighborhood. This was my very first time eating food from this restaurant.
First off, they have a variety of food. Salvadorans are well known for Pupusas so if you're in the mood for some delicious Revueltas, Queso con Loroco, Frijol con queso or queso Pupusas then feel free to go here.
I purchased 2 Pupusas de Revuelta and 2 Pupusas de Queso con Loroco. Amazing! Cooked to perfection! The cheese was hanging right down the side of the Pupusas. It was very cheesy and filled with taste.
They have other great dishes too such as Sopa de Res, Sopa de Gallina, Mojarra Frita, Camarones a la Plancha and many more. Next time, I plan on trying their Sopa de Res and Yucca Frita.
They also have delicious appetizers that hit the spot. I purchased Pastelitos de Carne which were cooked to perfection, as well! The meat inside was not too soft nor too hard. The outer layer of the Pastelito was crunchy. Just the way I like it.
I have nothing bad to say about the food. Again, great food overall. Looking to go back very...
Read moreFirst and foremost I will tell you upfront that this is not the place to come if you’re in any kind of hurry. This is not fast food by any means. My wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. So on a random day off we came in. My wife ordered two pupusas revueltas (Ground fried pork skin and cheese .) and I ordered the Fritada (chunks of pork meat and head.) We both ordered fried Plantains with beans and crema. ( We were unaware that they came with pinto beans) The Pupusas were great and my fritada was very flavorful. As for the plantains they were excellent, sweet and tasted amazing with the crema. Our only concern other than the beans was that the Horchata had traces of peanuts. With the number of people who are allergic, a warning would have been appreciated since my wife is allergic. Overall we...
