I have been here about 12 times since 2018. And visit periodically as I am always on the search for good Cuban food in Los Angeles. This was my favorite Cuban place and always on the tip of my tongue as a recommendation.
I lived all over Southern California and would travel here to get it when I was nearby. I went there last week while I was driving from Hermosa Beach to Irvine and this place has fallen off a cliff from the good to the service
. I was getting food to go and came in greeted and took about 10 minutes for someone to take my order. My meal ended up being about $66 after tax, but the menu items that I ordered were only $22 apiece.🤔 I like to support small business so I didn’t say anything about it. As I was waiting, I was not offered anything at all not even a water. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I noticed that the servers were talking to the chef and it appears that no one put in my order even though the restaurant was only about half full. So I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food. When I got home, the food quality was terrible. Now keep in mind. I have ordered from this place many times, and this time was definitely the worst by far. The food was overcooked and my pork was tough, the yucca completely bland and unseasoned and the shrimp al ajillo were TINY; not to mention the black bean soup that I ordered was completely exploded inside the bag and the size of a tiny salsa Container. The plátanos were good though. lol. I gotta say I was pretty disappointed, and it’s quite sad because I,ve always had good...
Read moreGreat Cuban cuisine, I would highly recommend it to anyone... I need to amend my review and say the service is horrifically slow during peak hours. Food is great, no question there. However, be prepared to wait a long time to get a seat, longer to place an order, have your order come up wrong or cold when it does arrive, and drinks will not get refilled unless you stalk the waiter. Today's lunch, for example, had us waiting 20 mins for a table when there were clearly plenty of seats that had not been bused or cleaned. 10 minutes after sitting down we still hadn't gotten menus. 10 minutes after ordering we got our drinks. 20 minutes later the appetizers and main courses show up at the same time rendering the purpose of ordering appetizers moot. We've now spent nearly an hour in the restaurant and are just starting to eat lunch. Great authentic Cuban cuisine. When it's empty all is pretty damn fabulous. Too bad it all goes downhill when it gets busy. Today I counted 8 different customers complaining about their experience, some with food that never appeared, some with waiters that never came back, some that just wanted to pay and leave but we're trapped by the one cashier that had no desire to move at a faster pace. Whether to go back or not is a...
Read more“ARTE & SABOR” you see it immediately as you walking into this cute and artistic joint . Welcoming ambiance radiating the Latin passion for foods and drinks. The waitress is very helpful and cute. Rosa has the most sincere attitude when she introduces the menu. Her biggest smiles reminds me of Salsa dancing by the bum fire- warm like evening caribbean sun. The cowbell rhythm salsa music plays through out the restaurant make my feet want to dance cha cha cha. 😜🤪 The sea food paella has my vote. OoooooMG. This rice taste so good. Refreshing sea food in Paella , savory sauce, and rice is so comforting to my soul. You have to order it 45 minutes ahead if you want to taste the ARTE de SABOR dish- Sea Food Paella. My daughter love the spanish Lechon Asado - pull pork with mojo sauce and Rabo Encendido - ox- tail braided in red wine sauce. Come by for the taste of wonder of this Cuban flair joint. You will appreciate the Latin taste in Carson that make you appreciate life and health in this Havana trip. May God continue bless the person who brought me here and people who served us. May God bless you all. Los Saludos! Good night 🌙😘💤 In the name of...
