Title: Declining Quality and Unpleasant Customer Service
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
I have been a regular customer at 85 Degree Bakery for our breakfasts, but I am disappointed to say that the overall experience has been declining lately. This review is not meant to discourage others from visiting, but rather to express my concerns and hope for improvements.
Let's start with the food. While the bakery used to offer delicious and freshly baked goods, the quality seems to have deteriorated over time. The once-fluffy pastries and breads now lack the same freshness and flavor that made them so appealing. It's disheartening to see a place that was once known for its exceptional baked goods fall short in this area.
Furthermore, the coffee, which used to be a highlight of our visits, has also lost its charm. The flavor has become inconsistent, and the overall quality has noticeably declined. It's disappointing to receive a mediocre cup of coffee when we used to rely on 85 Degree Bakery for a satisfying start to our day.
Another aspect that needs serious attention is the customer service. The staff's behavior has been quite disappointing, as their attitude towards customers can sometimes be outright rude. A welcoming and friendly atmosphere is essential for any establishment, and it is unfortunate that this crucial aspect seems to be neglected. Improved training and an emphasis on customer satisfaction would greatly benefit the overall experience.
I sincerely hope that the management takes these concerns into consideration and works towards restoring the quality of their food and coffee. Additionally, addressing the issue of customer service should be a priority. 85 Degree Bakery has the potential to be a top-notch establishment once again, but it requires a concerted effort to regain its former glory.
While I may not be returning as frequently until I see improvements, I encourage others to give it a try and make their own judgment. There are still some redeeming qualities, such as the cozy ambiance and a wide variety of baked goods to choose from. However, until significant changes are made, I cannot confidently recommend 85 Degree Bakery as a top choice for...
Read moreThis used to be one of favorite places to grab a snack. Over the years, I'm not sure if my tastes have changed, or the recipes have. Took a friend here looking forward to showing off 85c variety of delicious items. Everything looked great but the few items we got to share were far from the spectacular flavors I remembered. The mango cake was flavorless, blueberry paradise cake was awful, the blueberry cheesecake tasted like something frozen out of a box, the royal chocolate cup had no flavor and the cherries in the bottom were bad. All were very bland and boring, and not the rich flavors I recalled from my last visit a while ago. The items in the refrigerated bakery case all tasted like desserts from a hospital cafeteria. Barely any flavor. The savory rolls we got were ok, potato filled, and mushroom, were my favorite. Also, the half moon almond cake might be the best thing they have there. That's a must try. I'll go again just for that! It's like a super light sponge Swiss roll type of cake with light butter cream frosting and almond slivers dressing the side. Just a hint of citrus to the flavor makes it truly special. If you do go here, you have to try the half moon almond cake! They have a nice variety of coffee and tea, but the lines can get hectic like most popular coffee chains. Make sure you have time. Over all, it's still a good place for certain things but I'll never order anything out of that...
Read moreFirst time here. Bought four different sweets. All of them tasted sugar free. Bland and definitely not worth the bad calories. The almond half moon was as dry as raw flour and very airy. If it weren't for the little sugarless cream on it, I would've needed a glass of milk for each bite. I only needed a few sips. The slice of blue cream cake and slice of strawberry chocolate cake looked amazing but both were as equally disappointing as beautifully presented they were. The premium milk pastry had three tiny dollops of a hard cream inside of it. If they spread that cream throughout the entire pastry, it would be very good. The only taste it had WAS the cream. When I want cake and sweet pastry, I want SWEET. I felt like somewhere there was a sign that said "baked goods for diabetics" and I over looked it. I gave 3 stars for presentation. Looks so much more tastier than it is. It wasn't tasty at all. I will not be back to any 85C bakery. The grocery store bakery has tastier sweets than this place. I'm convinced that anyone who thinks this place makes great tasting baked goods also loves salt free baked potato chips. (Sorry, I only took a photo of the...
