My Hero has sandwich shop has been around since 1964! That's right, since The Beatles played on The Ed Sullivan Show! So it was time to check them out! I ordered a "My Hero Special" which is like your classic italian. It was really good. They pot a tomato salad on all their sandwiches. They were very nice. It's affordable. I wish they had a deal that included a bag of chips and a drink. That's where things started to add up. Still not too bad. Ask for mayo, lettuce, onions and pickles added to your sandwich, all at no additional cost. Plenty of parking! They have three tables and a large counter with stools. They do have a high chair! They were very fast too! A great place if you want to grab a quick lunch that isn't fast food.

I am a sandwich girly, and this place was so yummy I could cry 😭 the turkey was high quality, the bread was soft and chewy and all the ingredients were fresh. The tomato salad is just as good as what I have heard. The ambience is old school and that’s part of the character of the store. It reminds me of my childhood and I feel like a kid. It’s a homey warm feeling. ♥️ I also had never been there before and I had two sweet ladies help me. Great good, great environment, and great service.

What can I say? This place has been serving subs since 1964. Old school vibe. Prices are nice. The #1 is on point and the most popular menu itwn since forever. I would much rather go to a Mom & Pop place verses a chain. Two six inch sandwiches plus a small drink was $21.

Dissatisfied after 20+ years of eating here, I will never go back, not because it's bad. This used to be the best sandwich place ever, now it is just another one. It was the most expensive one but it was worth it. Today I got my usual Turkey sandwich and couldn't even taste the Turkey as there was only 2 super skinny slices. In the older days they were delicious but this was super dissatisfying. They used to put 10 times more on each one. The original owners sold to a couple employees many many years ago and is has slowly become worse each and every time I returned. I can't go back because I knew that it was really good, and now it is disappointing every time I go back. The good old days are...

If you're looking for great subs in Northridge, this is the place. They put a very unique fresh tomato salad on their sandwiches and they steam the bread. The combination is FANTASTIC! My favorites are the turkey and the tuna which are always fresh and delicious. The meatball sub is great the way it is with sauce and cheese. Super filling! These subs are nice and big so they are easy to share. They have been in business a very long time and the sandwiches never disappoint. The owner used to be an employee and inherited it when the original owners retired. She keeps the place in a time warp which adds to the homey feel and charm. Once you eat these you'll never have a corporate...
