The fries are surprisingly good. Crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle and very salty.
The staff is pleasant enough.
The prices are highway robbery and the self serve kiosk defaults to a 15% tip for an unclear service. This is pretty much the accepted museum cafeteria abuse though.
The place is just not clean. There is food all over the floor and ground. There is one poor gentleman talked with basic table cleanup and no one cleaning the ground.
What brings me here though is the grilled cheese. What were they thinking? It's hard to screw up the standard of butter, bread and American cheese that make a mediocre cafe standard and appeals to our four year old souls, but these guys did it! They took two of the most tasteless cheeses that exist - swiss and mild cheddar and slapped them in the bread. The experience is very much like eating a rubber cement sandwich. There are acceptable substitutions for the American cheese, eg. gruyere, Gouda and even sharp cheddar with a mix, but these should really attempted by advanced grilled cheese chefs and not by your average small-child-serving cafeterieers. For this, they only...

Great location for kids too. We sat outside, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The person in charge of cleaning the tables was especially kind, checking to make sure ours was clean and even wishing us a happy Mother’s Day — such a thoughtful gesture.
The whole team was warm and welcoming. The food was genuinely good, and for fast food, it really exceeded our expectations. The burger, chicken, and fries were all excellent. The pizza was good too, though we preferred the rest. Everything was tasty, quick, and nicely presented. If only all museum food...
Read moreI was hesitant to try this place because of other bad reviews, but with a 5yo kid, this was the most convenient option during our Museum visit - I'm glad we did this! I thought the flatbread pizza was very good. The lady at the cafe was very friendly and also told me how their pepperoni was made of beef and not pork etc. The fountain drinks had some good soda choices. Sure, maybe it's a bit pricey for the LA standard, but I'm from the Bay Area so it didn't bother me. The outdoor seating at the cafe leads to the open ground/garden area for kids to run around. I think this place deserves...
