Pico Pica Rico . Co — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This place is my go to when I don't know what I want to eat, and i'm too lazy to drive around looking for something. Luckily, I can walk here and get pretty decent food at a reasonable price. You might be thinking "just tell me what to try already!" If that's the way you feel, then go there and try everything. I have only had one thing that I wasn't completely thrilled about. If you read to the end, I'll let you know what it was.

So typically when someone mentions Mexican food, the first thing that comes to mind is cheeseburgers. Yep, my ex-wife's favorite thing on their menu was the cheeseburger. It's a pretty good burger, not on my top 25 list of favorite burgers, but definitely not towards the bottom of the list. Just something basic and no frills about it combined with the crinkle cut fries makes it familiar and comforting. But, I digress...

Carne Asada is everyone's stand by, and I can't lie to you guys, it's pretty much my yard stick to which I judge Mexican restaurants. I have had it here, and it is good. Certainly not the best, but good. The best option in my opinion is their Al Pastor. Marinated pork that's cooked with onions on the flat top, this is something you will enjoy well beyond the Carne Asada.

So, let me sum it up for you. I would recommend the all meat burrito with Al pastor. Cheeseburger (if that's your thing) is pretty darn good. Carne Asada fries (did I forget to mention that?) are good. Really good. Make sure you order them extra crispy so that they hold up to all of the toppings. And last, but certainly not least, the Breakfast Burrito!!!! My quest for breakfast burritos apparently leaked into my subconscious, which in turn found me a place to live half a block away from one of the great ones. I won't even play it up. Just go try it. Now.

With everything from chile relleno's to breakfast burritos to carne asada,you'll find something you'll love...and all at great prices (their breakfast burrito got named one of the best by 'LA Eater's'!)!
