Sharky's Woodfired Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I’m a fan of Sharky’s cuisine and I’ve been to many of their locations in the San Fernando Valley. I have found a pleasant consistency in the food and service over all of my visits. The thing that makes each location different is their décor and setting. Personally, I think the Toluca Lake Sharky’s is a middle of the road experience. The location is in a bank of storefronts that face onto Riverside Drive. There is street parking and a shared parking lot in the back with a backdoor into the restaurant. Depending upon the time of day you visit there may or may not be a person handing out tickets that you’re supposed to get validated. I’ve never had to validate though. I don’t understand the point of their parking system. The restaurant is long and narrow with a small dining room and an uncovered outdoor dining patio. There are televisions playing sports events or manager’s choice. I’ve never seen this place crowded so even though it’s a small dining room I’ve never felt cramped. The patio will get occasional smokers and the smoke can get into the dining room. It’s also a popular stop for people with dogs since there are plenty of poles for leashes to be wrapped around. Originally, I had a mishap with my order. Mistakes happen, though. The owner reached out to me and corrected the situation. I have to say that I'm beyond impressed and grateful for this. Instead of brushing off my review, they genuinely wanted to use it constructively and make the situation right.

My second time to Sharky's was a success. The power bowl with chicken was prepared to perfection, exactly as ordered. The manager(Fidel) and other staff were wonderful. Fidel obviously cares a great deal for this restaurant and its customers. He went above and beyond to make sure my experience was positive.

On august 6th the night staff was horrible and the manager didn’t give me my refund she said she would give me . They got my whole order wrong I ordered two fiesta burrito they gave me 2 sharky burritos with just beans rice and steak. I picked up my order around 9:10 pm they close at 10. I called around 9:30 pm to ask for a refund and they tried to tell me they closed at 9. I said no y’all have 30 more minute to help me . Then I was put on hold for the manger and she took like 20 minutes to answer and then she said she understood my problem and will issue a refund . I still haven’t received it .
