Great family dining! Especially good food. We had the full family meal, served on a large platter in the middle of the table...family style (which i love). We had chicken, stake, lobster tail and other sea foods...vegetables...breads...salads...deserts and I can't even remember it all. Every bite was delicious and perfectly prepared! That I do remember. Price, (when we divided up 3 good eaters, little ones...1 teen...and 4 adults) was a gift! And, there was plenty left over. The restaurant is charming with hand painted El Salvadoran "frescoes" on the walls. I can't wait to go back now I'm thinking about it. So, a couple of nights ago I did go back. My Daughter was in UCLA Hospital (tests) so friends came to rescue me. I hadn't eaten or slept well so I was in need of comfort and nourishment. "Where do you want to go? What do you feel like eating?" I could only think of... Sonsonate Grill and Chicken Soup. They served perrrrfect soup. Well prepared El Salvadorean crisp tortillas chips are soooo yummy you can't stop eating them (not greasy) came first...then the soup and enough sides to completly fill the three of us. Even though it's a large room, it has a cozy feel. I needed that. Weekdays aren't as crowded. I left feeling diffinantly comforted and nourished...and the iced cold Corona helped me sleep like a...
Read moreIt has the worst customer service. We came in and signed in to wait for a table. They took forever till we finally got sat. Once we were seated (which they only pointed us the table without even taking us there and giving us the menu) we had to get the menu ourselves waited about 15 minutes till I had to get one of the waitresses attention. She got our order, and we noticed others seating around us and we're being attended immediately. We then waited another 10 to 15 minutes till the drinks got there which they forgot mine. Passing 20 minutes we noticed those who arrived way after us had their food served. That's when we decided to complain and the food magically appeared. We just then decided to take it to go. Also the waitresses are all flirting with the men around us...
Read moreHorrible experience last night. I’ve been once before and it wasn’t so bad, but last night I decided not to come back anymore. My wife and I got food poisoning from two different plates which tells me the cook isn’t the cleanest. They give you fried tortillas when you get there and they tastes like they hadn’t changed the oil in daysss tortillas aren’t supposed to taste like fish. My pupusas weren’t so bad, the beans tasted a bit weird but my wife’s shrimp and fish soup looked sooo de mala muerte, they didn’t even bring her her sides unless we asked. It’s probably not always like this but the team working there last night seemed dirty and non caring. I don’t like leaving reviews like this but I spent the whole night with food poisoning symptoms I...
