Reservation made because reviews said not fancy but clean. That is all we needed. We arrived in LA for a visit late at night. When we pulled into the courtyard/parking lot (one way in one way out) we noticed a lot of sketchy folks hanging out and one sketchy guy walking circles in the parking lot and to the street entrance. Really got into my personal space. I had asked for a ground floor room due to an injury. I had to walk up to a small glass box to check in. I was told that I would have to spend the first night upstairs and that they would move me to another room the next day. I told them that I could not do that and would have to find another place to stay if that was the case. He informed me that we could spend the first night in their "special room". We had just driven 10 hours to get there and needed rest so we said "fine". We walked into the "special room" and it looked like we walked into a third world country. I needed to use the restroom and made a bee-line for it. while seated, I noticed the bathroom sink was disgusting with globs of toothpaste spit and the towels looked like they had been used for a couple of months. I went into the bedroom area and my daughter (she's an adult) was like "no way are we staying here!" The room light was a single light in the ceiling with a long string that reached the bed. The string was filthy. The bedspread had a layer of "crud" all over the top of it. It was best described as "it looks like someone layed on it eating pizza and watching porn for 3 months". Everything in the "special room" was awful. I went back to the attendant and told them it was filthy and we were not staying there. He then offered us a better room (why didn't he offer this in the first place?. At this point there are two prostitutes flanking my car and questionable dealings going on by other occupants. The better room was "better", but still unacceptable. I called the attendant and told him that we would stay there for one night, but would be cancelling the rest of the week because of the prostitutes and pimp/drug dealers and the cleanliness issue. He was nice, apologized and assured us that he would refund the other nights. My daughter had extra tshirts and she covered two pillows with them and we slept in our clothes on top of the beds. No showering there! I found another hotel that we could move to the next morning. And I prayed that our car would be there the next morning and that we would be safe. The attendant had a hard time getting the refund to go through and I actually had to go back there during the week to try and help and spoke with someone else that was trying to help him and to my bank. Short story of refund, is that I did get my money back. But when we returned to work on the refund...the same sketchy folks were roaming the parking lot. I would never...
Read moreLocation to everything was good, other than that I would not stay here unless i had a free room. Came to check in he didn't know about my reservation he had me pull it up on my phone and show him. My room has patches on the walls and holes in the ceiling. The sink stops up after 3 seconds. I can say The room was clean. The water only gets warm. The ac and heat works though. I'm not sure if other rooms were like this but I was not happy with the fact the room looked like it was under construction. There's ppl ALWAYS loud and walking hard back and forth outside the door. You can even here The owner knocking on ppl doors and yelling at different hours of the day.The ppl he's letting stay here i guess for a discount are LOUD. The past 3 nights they've been up having company in and out, they kept me up all night yelling and talking. You can hear everything through the walls, no matter how much earlier you try to come in to sleep they're still loud. At 4 am EVERY night you hear ppl yelling and talking, I was litterally kept up the entire time. This is more of a hang out hotel for locals. The noise doesn't die down until 8 am, when it's time to get up! I stayed here Wednesday-Sunday the first night was the only semi calm night. I paid 490 And got less than12 hours of sleep all together. I'm literally checking out today may 13th and they've brought me clean towels ONCE. I called down for towels just now and he said 1 hour before his maid gets here but check out is in one hour and they charge 50 if you check out late! Im really pissed honestly. This was my first week moving to l.a. after driving 29 hours from TN and we'll be in hotels for a few weeks, I'd rather sleep in my car than pay another night here. I wish i could post pics, but I will have a video posted on my youtube channel of my room by next week.and put the...
