My husband and I live in Ventura county and we were driving into LA for an event. We wanted to get our favorite Starbucks “fix” on the way, but I placed the order at the wrong location by accident.
When I called to explain my mistake and ask for a refund, I wasn’t expecting to hear “No”, especially considering how much $$ we’ve spent as Starbucks customers over the years.
Janet first told me that she couldn’t process my refund without knowing my account. Then, when I told her that I had that information, suddenly she was unable to refund me, at all, and told me I have 2 options:
Go to any location other than hers, apparently, and ask for a refund there, or ask them to redo our order for free. But why, when hers was the location that has the record of that transaction? How does that make any sense, and why would another store honor a seemingly random request like that?! Again, her store is the one with a record of the transaction.
Or I can contact corporate office for a refund.
I don’t think we’ll be visiting a Starbucks any time in the near future. Janet could’ve handled it on the spot, but instead she chose to “hold the line” over a $30 transaction.
The experience has left a “burnt coffee taste”...
Read moreI drove down from Orange County to visit family and passed by this Starbucks because it was my go-to spot during my university days at Cal State Northridge. While Ventura Boulevard has changed a lot over the last ten years, this store still has the same familiar layout—which I actually appreciate.
The reason I’m leaving this review is that this was one of the best Starbucks experiences I’ve had in a long time. Having worked as a Starbucks barista for nine years, I really notice when a team is running smoothly. The staff here were polite, friendly, and highly efficient—restocking, refilling, cleaning, and staying proactive; actually running a ‘clean play’ instead of talking and being lethargic like other stores I’ve been to.
The shift supervisor on duty (I didn’t catch her name, but she had a very warm smile) was leading the team exceptionally well. Honestly, the last time I saw a Starbucks crew this efficient was in Japan. Kudos to this store—I hope the District Manager/Manager recognizes the excellent work this team is doing. Seriously.

Read moreI really liked the vibe here at this starbucks... Hip crew, very well organized and the food and frappuccinos were amazing... One of the smoothest running Starbucks around... Very busy in the mornings with a lot of professional clientel in and out with their breakfast sandwich and latte... Tapered off after lunch and was a comfortable crowd in the afternoon... They close at 1830 (6:30PM) which seemed a little early to me but then I think most Starbucks should close at 2200 (10:00PM), some at Midnight and a few should be 24hr...just my opinion don't hold it against me... Met some good people here at this location and I can't say enough about the team... They are top notch, professional, and personable... Five stars all the...
