To be honest, I wasn't a fan of Sugarfish prior to today. All of my friends who had tried Sugarfish told me that it was either great or way too overhyped and overpriced, and because of that, I had avoided visiting any of their locations. However, my girlfriend and I decided to go for her birthday and we were very impressed by all of the food. We both got the Nozawa Trust Me and we were absolutely STUFFED by the end of our meal. All of the fish tasted fresh and the rice was warm. While the meal was $45/ person, I'd say the it is definitely a bargain considering that the quality of the fish is above average and that we left way more full than we intended to. For two people, I would recommend just getting the Trust Me and the Nozawa Trust Me.

The parking lot isn't that big, but you should be able to get a spot if you just wait about 5 minutes, and while you wait, someone else in your party can put their name down since the wait to get a table will probably be about an hour. All in all, I would...

We had a great dinner experience here. It’s a small intimate setting - just one room with tables tightly packed around the perimeter. We arrived at 6 pm on a Monday night and got a seat quickly but in the next 15 minutes, every table was full. For a Japanese restaurant, it’s almost like fast food. If you order the omakase (which is Japanese for basically “chef’s choice), which the entire menu is really pointing you to order, then the dishes come out sequentially and quickly. Every single item was done with extreme precision and care. This is high end Japanese like you would get in Japan. Nothing was out of place. The rice (sushi) is perfect flavored and not tightly packed or overwhelming the fish like you get in a lot of fake Japanese restaurants. Definitely an amazing deal for the $40 or $50 you pay per person. Oh, no tipping here but they do tack on 16% to...

This is the third location in the Sugarfish chain that I have dined at and they are all nearly perfect. This was my first time in for lunch and I almost prefer it. I always order the trust me option because I do trust Nozawa to provide a meal that is beyond my expectations. And he does. The space is small, but doesn't feel crowded. It almost affords a camaraderie between diners and I enjoy that. We toasted sake with the couple next to us and that is something that doesn't happen a lot at other establishments. The seafood is scrumptious but the seaweed is the best part for me. It is always so fresh and it tears easily when you bite into it, there's nothing chewy about it. The pacing of the trust me courses was perfect. The staff were very friendly and you can tell they work together to make sure everyone has the best...

This is now my favorite sushi place! I coworker brought me here for lunch on my birthday and I had to come back. Both times I had THE NOZAWA TRUST ME which consists of Edamame, Tuna Sashimi – ponzu and chives, Albacore Sushi – ponzu and chives, 2-pc, Salmon Sushi – toasted sesame, 2-pc, Toro Hand Roll, Japanese Yellowtail* Sushi – lemon, 1-pc, Hirame* Sushi – yuzu ponzu, 1-pc, Blue & Dungeness Crab Hand Roll. The sashimi melts in your mouth and the sushi rice is cooked perfectly, the nori is perfect (not tough or chewy), the handrolls are so delightful. I’m already thinking of when I can come back! There was a wait both times 12pm the first time and 3pm the second. They give you a longer wait time but seat you pretty quickly. The service is fantastic which makes this place even better.
