Nestled in the heart of The Runway, Superfine restaurant offers a truly exceptional dining experience, perfect for a leisurely weekend brunch. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were attentive and accommodating. Seated quickly in my desired location on the outdoor deck, I was able to enjoy the company of my doodle, indulge in some quality people-watching, and relish the beautiful Playa Vista surroundings.
The frittata I ordered was a culinary delight, boasting a light texture and bursting with flavor. The dish was packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to using local produce. To add a little kick, I was offered their homemade hot sauce, which complemented the frittata exquisitely.
Superfine's Amalfi Spritz, a refreshing and vibrant cocktail, proved to be the perfect pairing for my frittata. With just the right balance of sweet and tangy notes, it elevated my brunch experience to new heights, leaving a lasting impression on my taste buds.
The staff's attentive nature extended beyond my needs, as they also made sure my four-legged companion was well taken care of. Providing a water bowl for my doodle demonstrated the restaurant's mindfulness towards their guests' furry friends, making the experience all the more enjoyable for both of us.
With such a positive brunch experience, I am eager to return to Superfine and explore their dinner menu. This gem in Playa Vista has left an indelible mark on my dining memories, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Superfine is a must-visit destination for outstanding food, an inviting atmosphere, and top-notch service. So, don't hesitate to stop by and treat yourself to a phenomenal gastronomic experience – you won't be...
Read moreFirst time to this restaurant. We got seated right away (with a reservation). The server was friendly and since this was our first visit, explained the menu to us. We started with the housemade focaccia which was heated on the grill which gave it a wonderful smokey flavor. It came with anchovy butter and bean dip. The minestrone, made with local vegetables from the PV farmers market was excellent. But the showstopper was the swordfish. Not the usual 2" thick chunk of fish, but a thin large cut like you get in Sicily. Grilled to perfection, it was tender and flavorful. It was served with an eggplant puree which was good. I would prefer the Sicilian way with a tapanad. But it was very good and not seen in many restaurants. The Eggplant Parmigiana was big and tasty. The only disappointment was the Gramigne pasta. While flavorful, the pasta was tough and chewy. We mentioned it to our server and they happily removed it from the bill which was very nice and something we were not expecting. Overall a great addition to PV dining. While a little pricey, it is really worth a visit. The wine by the glass offers some great selections too. The only other note is that, like a lot of restaurants, the music is a little loud and I think causes the crowds to talk...
Read moreI want to preface this by saying we were so EXCITED try Superfine being Playa Vista residents and not having too many restaurant options. I’ve been following them on IG and anxiously waiting to dine here. We came on Friday (the week of their opening) at 5:30 pm and planned to have drinks and food at the bar. When we walked up to the hostess stand we could see there was only 2 people at the bar and plenty of seats open. The hostess stopped us and asked if we had reservations and we said no, but we are sitting at the bar. They denied us entry and said per the head chef no one was allowed to enter without a proper reservation. I’ve never been to a restaurant that that required a reservation for a bar seating let alone a bar that was nearly empty and JUST opening. We felt so unwelcome and the hostess was so rude and told us to “go to Joliet” since that is a bar and this is a restaurant . Such a terrible first impression and not a great way for them to treat their customers who were about to...
