The first time I ate here was super disappointing. I ordered a taco salad and it had some weird ranch dressing on it. It was flavorless and a total waste of money. I decided to give this place another shot and ordered the veggie burrito. It came with a paltry side of chips (i.e., 4 chips on a plate) but it was tasty. The third time I visited, I ordered the veggie burrito with cheese. I didn't taste any cheese in my burrito, and because we paid extra for it, we asked if they could give us a side of cheese to put in the burrito. For some reason, the employees don't trust the customers and the cashier asked the cook if he included cheese in the burrito. The cook said yes, and the cashier said we could buy a side of cheese. It was a bit insulting to be told there was, in fact, cheese in my burrito, and to be questioned. Additionally, we paid for a side of chips to enjoy with the complimentary salsa at the salsa bar. When we asked for an additional bowl for salsa, the same cashier told us that they limit two small dipping bowls per table. I thought this was pretty stingy, given that the bowls are tiny and given that there were many salsas to try as well as pickled veggies at the salsa bar. I'm not into the lack of customer service and poor dedication to customer loyalty. I also think they're overpriced for how stingy they are and for what you get. Go to La Fuente in Highland...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve never been so angry and disgusted. Iāve been going to this restaurant with my family for eight years. Itās right next to a popular business that my daughter frequents. I parked my car in handicapped because I have a legal blue placard from back surgery. We live a 1.5 hrs from LA so we always make a little plan. The plan yesterday was for my daughter to take a dance class then go to this restaurant and eat then go back and take another dance class. When we came back to my daughterās car, her car was gone because this restaurant had her car towed out of handicap parking. Again, I have eaten at this restaurant in the last 8 years at least 50 times. I came inside Tereās, scared & worried thinking someone had stolen my car. Thankfully my daughter speaks Spanish and she heard the employees making fun of us laughing!! In English the employees told me they spoke to the owner who had intentionally had our car towed. Iām someone that is loyal. I frequent the restaurant because itās convenient and Iāve been loyal to the owner, quite honestly, the food isnāt even very good. Their meats are pretty dry. But I will never step foot in their establishment again, and I will be posting in social media the horrible...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to Tereās Mexican Grill for the first time on Labor Day (2018) after having driven past it 100 times (and repeatedly saying āwe should try that sometime). The food was RRALLY good...yummy, authentic and very reasonably priced Mexican fare (specializing in MichoacĆ”n regional food, but they have anything you would typically find in a Mexican restaurant).
It clean, spacious, and with plenary of seating, and seems like a small family run business (their other store opened in Hollywood 20+ years ago, and they just opened this store in the Valley recently). You order food at the counter and they bring it to you at your table (real plates and flatware, not disposable paper and plastic)
I highly recommend the quesadilla (rich, with a toasty, just golden-brown tortilla, and rich delicious Mexican cheese), and the carne asada tacos. Also, the rice and beans that came with our combos were āmuy ricosā!
We will definitely be back, maybe for happy hour (they have several beers on tap) or just for a good meal.
I HIGHLY recommend Tereās if you like authentic Mexican food and like supporting local businesses (instead of big chain...
