The cashier guy was super cool, we started joking about micheladas because he saw me order in my Spectrum uniform and was joking about drinking with me on my lunch and that he wouldn't tell but it was all fun and games of course and just told me they do sell beer if I did choose to get one for my lunch. The food I got was a godsend, had been craving a good asada quesadilla and it definitely hit the spot. As for the atmosphere, it was great, outdoor seating was cool for the hour I was there UNTIL a random homeless lady with a lit cigarette chose to sit across from me in the same table and smoke her cigarette looking like she was high off something. I can assure you that it was a one time thing though because the area doesn't have homeless like that and this place doesn't have them loitering but it did make me leave. I just said bye and thank you to the cashier and went on my way back to work. Would highly recommend

(Grade A-) Wanted to try it because it had a good rating. If you drive by, you wouldn't stop and try because it doesn't really stand out, it's so simple looking, sort of like a diner, but the food, with the exception of the chicken taquitos, was excellent. My favorite was the chicken quesadillas, it was surprisingly different than the usual ones you get everywhere. The chicken burrito was good but the rice was a bit much and beans?? Why would you put beans in a chicken burrito? Anyway, next time easy on the rice and no beans please. The Chili Verde was ok, but not spectacular, it was like an A- but still good. Carne Asada tacos were definitely an A+ I loved it! The chips, while they charge an extra $1.50 are spectacular, after eating it I knew why other places give it away for free and they charge for it. I hope this helps.

I celebrate my father's birthday alone now and each year I choose foods that remind me of him. This year I wanted to eat something we made at home often. So puerco con chile verde was my choice, as we both enjoy it a lot. It was really tasty, more spicy than we make it but I enjoyed the change in spice level. The sides were also very nice and the tortillas were very tasty. It made me miss my childhood. Obviously I felt very sentimental today haha. One of my father's favorite desserts is jericalla, so I got flan as it is easier to find and obviously pretty close. It was also very tasty and I wish he could have tried it. I'm sure he would have enjoyed the food here greatly.

The first time I ate here was super disappointing. I ordered a taco salad and it had some weird ranch dressing on it. It was flavorless and a total waste of money. I decided to give this place another shot and ordered the veggie burrito. It came with a paltry side of chips (i.e., 4 chips on a plate) but it was tasty. The third time I visited, I ordered the veggie burrito with cheese. I didn't taste any cheese in my burrito, and because we paid extra for it, we asked if they could give us a side of cheese to put in the burrito. For some reason, the employees don't trust the customers and the cashier asked the cook if he included cheese in the burrito. The cook said yes, and the cashier said we could buy a side of cheese. It was a bit insulting to be told there was, in fact, cheese in my burrito, and to be questioned. Additionally, we paid for a side of chips to enjoy with the complimentary salsa at the salsa bar. When we asked for an additional bowl for salsa, the same cashier told us that they limit two small dipping bowls per table. I thought this was pretty stingy, given that the bowls are tiny and given that there were many salsas to try as well as pickled veggies at the salsa bar. I'm not into the lack of customer service and poor dedication to customer loyalty. I also think they're overpriced for how stingy they are and for what you get. Go to La Fuente in Highland...

I’ve never been so angry and disgusted. I’ve been going to this restaurant with my family for eight years. It’s right next to a popular business that my daughter frequents. I parked my car in handicapped because I have a legal blue placard from back surgery. We live a 1.5 hrs from LA so we always make a little plan. The plan yesterday was for my daughter to take a dance class then go to this restaurant and eat then go back and take another dance class. When we came back to my daughter’s car, her car was gone because this restaurant had her car towed out of handicap parking. Again, I have eaten at this restaurant in the last 8 years at least 50 times. I came inside Tere’s, scared & worried thinking someone had stolen my car. Thankfully my daughter speaks Spanish and she heard the employees making fun of us laughing!! In English the employees told me they spoke to the owner who had intentionally had our car towed. I’m someone that is loyal. I frequent the restaurant because it’s convenient and I’ve been loyal to the owner, quite honestly, the food isn’t even very good. Their meats are pretty dry. But I will never step foot in their establishment again, and I will be posting in social media the horrible...

We went to Tere’s Mexican Grill for the first time on Labor Day (2018) after having driven past it 100 times (and repeatedly saying ā€œwe should try that sometime). The food was RRALLY good...yummy, authentic and very reasonably priced Mexican fare (specializing in MichoacĆ”n regional food, but they have anything you would typically find in a Mexican restaurant).

It clean, spacious, and with plenary of seating, and seems like a small family run business (their other store opened in Hollywood 20+ years ago, and they just opened this store in the Valley recently). You order food at the counter and they bring it to you at your table (real plates and flatware, not disposable paper and plastic)

I highly recommend the quesadilla (rich, with a toasty, just golden-brown tortilla, and rich delicious Mexican cheese), and the carne asada tacos. Also, the rice and beans that came with our combos were ā€œmuy ricosā€!

We will definitely be back, maybe for happy hour (they have several beers on tap) or just for a good meal.

I HIGHLY recommend Tere’s if you like authentic Mexican food and like supporting local businesses (instead of big chain...
