I had a truly great experience with the Woodland Hills location of Urban Plates. The place is new and clean with modern decor. Really good prices and Sarah went above and beyond anything required and provided amazing service. She took the time to go item-by-item through the menu as I peppered her with questions about various things I was looking at. She explained the ordering/takeout procedure & told me all the things that people really like and also what is healthiest too, so she saved me a lot of time and her attitude and demeanor were friendly and helpful. The steak was really good and well prepared and you can tell it is organic by the taste. I give it five stars across the board, nothing went wrong with my order at all. They are located in a really convenient and well-kept portion of Ventura Blvd next to a lot of other useful and interesting places as well. There is a nice big lot with effortless parking as well. I definitely plan on ordering again from this place, lockdown or no lockdown. I'm looking forward to more locations hopefully popping up elsewhere so I can enjoy their food when I'm in other areas. The staff is very helpful to those who haven't ordered with them before as well. I can't think of anywhere else in this area where there would be healthier more filling food I encourage others to visit and try the grass-fed...
Read moreSalads don’t get fresher than this place. After coming to Urban Plates, I literally crave to come here everyday day for their beet salad or grilled beef salad. I have faithfully not steered away from those choices since.
I would love to try out their bowls and such but I can’t resist how fresh the veggies are in the salads. It literally doesn’t get fresher than this, every bite is so crisp. Maybe one day I’ll get tired of the those two salads but not any time soon.
The grilled steak is served medium rare in the salad and is done perfectly, not bleeding all over the place. There are no words to describe the concoction of ingredients and dressing working so well together. Just refreshing and a little tangy, but the beef evens out the tangy essence. Perfect complement to one another. Compliments to the chef you created this, you the bomb!
The beet salad is a classic and you cannot got wrong here. The beets are so fresh it always surprises me later. If you’ve had this salad, you know what I mean. If you haven’t, you’ll find out how fresh these beets are.
And the focaccia bread, a million times better than the other place, you know which one I’m talking about. I always try to say no to the bread, but who am I kidding, they don’t even ask me anymore, they just add it on. Why not? Goes...
Read moreSomebody has completely ruined the Caesar salad. It's not even a salad anymore it just looks like somebody decided to throw garnish on the plate and then toss in some other stuff to kind of make it look like they've made something which turns out to be absolutely nothing. It looks lazy; it looks like there's no longer any remnant of any idea that this is supposed to be a salad. It used to be good I actually used to enjoy eating it because it was kind of one of my favorite salads. But now it's been completely changed up and ruined. The lettuce isn't even cut up to where I am not getting enough proportionally sized lettuce to everything else so then the lettuce is gone before I can even finish the rest of the so called salad and it's extremely difficult to even eat because it's just a long strip of lettuce and I'm like what idiot thought that this was a great idea??? I think the only thing that was actually an improvement were the tomatoes because now the tomatoes are nice and little in comparison to the gargantuan lettuce that I could better use as a mask to cover my eyes over this collosal...
