Best Western Woodland Hills Inn — Hotel in Los Angeles

I stay most of my time at Best Western. If you're on vacation in the area it's ok. If you're on an business trip you may choose a different hotel. Breakfast isn't available till 7am. You can't even grab a coffee on the go earlier because the lobby door stays locked till 7. I never experienced this in another hotel before. That's ridiculous. Housekeeping won't show up in 2 weeks unless you tell them a day ahead that you need new sheets or towels. If you need to print an email or documents you better have your own printer or check somewhere else. The business center is located at the breakfast area and locked after 7pm. However it doesn't work anyways because nothing is connected. No printer no paper no nothing. i have to find another way to print an few emails and documents. Parking is also limited. Not every customer gets a parking spot at the property. First come first serve. Otherwise you get a parking spot off the property which is a bit weird procedure. If you're an high up premium member you actually need to ask for your welcome gift (water and snack). That's not being offered at the check in. I'm not that picky but i just hope this hotel will catch up on service one day for the ridiculous price its asking for. And all those "Not-benefits" for $180+ per night (online). :-( . Service is being reduced to motel standard but nightly rates going up like a Space X launch. I selected this hotel by location and expected Best Western perks and service as usual. But not at this property. Positive things are the location: right on a very busy street with lots of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance. Clean rooms at check in. After that...

I just got back from a three-night stay, and my two travelers and I loved the room and the facility. The room was clean and well laid out. We slept great in the comfortable beds. The shower had good pressure. The air conditioner kept us cool in July. The ice machine is the press 'n' dispense type, not the kind with a bin of ice and who knows what else in the bin. The housekeeping staff left us a clean and neat room when we got back at night. We were able to get on and off the freeways and go wherever we wanted in Los Angeles.

The breakfast was better than most places I've stayed, and the two women who monitor it deserve special commendation.

I picked this location because I wanted to do some hiking and exploring along the Topanga wilderness areas, and this Best Western is located right at the top of Topanga Canyon Boulevard. It was easy to reach our hiking trails, and a nice drive down to the Pacific Coast Highway, where we could go left to Santa Monica or right to Malibu. There are all sorts of groceries and restaurants close to the hotel, but we were off and running all day so we didn't get a chance to take advantage of them.

ALSO- There's a lovely pool deck and relaxing area upstairs. We went up at night and stretched out on the recliners and let the pool lights and the night air unwind us from the day's activities.

We were all happy with our stay there, and I'd love to come back again. I'd rate it four and a half...

Every time we visit Los Angeles we stay at this hotel. We like the location. This time we were there from August 23 to August 26. I had a magnifying mirror that had a very sentimental value to use when applying makeup. We left the 26 and when we got home I realized that I forgot the mirror there. I called and the lady in the front desk told me she will check and call me back. When she called back, she had the mirror and she will let the manager know and call me to find the way to received my mirror back. They never call me and Monday afternoon I called the hotel, I spoke with the manager Victor, he needed to talk to the person from Saturday, he told me he will call me back Tuesday, because he didn't call, I did and he told me that they cannot find the mirror, that was in lost and found. He commented that somebody probably took it thinking that nobody will claim it. How can somebody can take things from lost and found because they wanted, there is no cameras? Anybody can take property left by mistake in their room? Total disregard for the people staying in this hotel. Terrible situation, make sure you check and get all your properties because you are risking to never get back your items because an employee decided that you are not going to claim your own items.
