VIP’s cafe is welcoming, serving classic staple food with a bang for your buck. Here’s the break down.

Environment: As mentioned, very welcoming with a mom and pop diner vibe. The waiters and waitresses will fix you up, if any trouble comes when deciding what to order. The interior has recently (couple years now) been refurbished, offering a nice mid century blend. There are plenty of seats whether it be dining at the counter, with two people, four people, or a party of 6+. Lastly, there tables situated in the patio, facing Ventura Blvd, with shade offered.

Food & Drinks: They offer a vast menu for food and drinks, whether it be for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. You can’t go wrong with the pancakes, French toast, and staple breakfast options. The burgers are standard sized, I believe their pattys blended by VIP’s. Lastly, it’s a great spot to sip on some mimosas, thank me later.

Overall: VIP’s is a classic spot to go to whether it be a lunch break, time alone, or gathering with friends and family. The interior elicits mid century dining (furniture). A well cleaned restaurant with hospitable workers and owners. The food is well portioned, and honestly for the price it is a bang for your buck. The food isn’t extraordinary, but rather nostalgic and filling, it’s not meant to be a Michelin oriented plate or experience. Example, the cheeseburger ($13) comes with two sides, whether you want onion rings, coleslaw (try this one out, imagine taking some to go and putting it on some bbq), fries, or some of their other side options.

If you’ve read up to this point, I always like to leave a bit of crumbs to the readers. Free validation for the parking lot, with vast amount of parking. Coffee comes with free refills. Tons of famous people come to this cafe, just take a look at their walls with pictures of...

Stopped in for breakfast after my wife's doctor's appointment and we were glad we did. It was jumping when we got there but we were greeted and seated right away. We sat inside the diner at a cozy booth, they have outside seating if you like that too. And they have two large counters as well. I had the Ham and cheese omelet with avocado, crispy hashbrowns (cooked to perfection) and sourdough toast. My wife had Chicken fried steak and scrambled eggs with home style potatoes and sourdough toast. Coffee and fresh squeezed O.J. I had an extra Peach Iced tea. It was all good. The service was excellent. Michael was very nice, he's the owners son and gave a rundown of the restaurants history and how Coach John Wooden used to come in and how they memorialized his favorite booth. Very nice guy. We wish him and him family continued success and much prosperity. The crowd is very eclectic. His parents were very friendly, his dad gave the kids quarters to get stuff out of the vending machines that they have by the entrance. His mom greets every one that comes in. The restaurant is clean. The staff excellent, friendly and very helpful. I wholeheartedly recommend VIP☆S FAMILY RESTAURANT. Michael told me that there is one located near me in Lake Elsinore, not affiliated, but he knows about it because he gets calls for orders from people from it by mistake and he said if I try them out to be sure to let know that he sent us. I will. They validate parking if you can't find parking on Ventura Blvd in front of the restaurant. I can't say enough good things about this place. You really have to try it for yourself. The food...

I had an amazing breakfast experience that deserves more than just five stars! The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Everything from the eggs to the mimosa was spot-on and satisfying. It was one of those meals that makes you pause and appreciate how good a simple breakfast can be. What made the experience even better was the service. Karen was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and her warm attitude truly stood out. And it wasn’t just Karen—the entire staff was fantastic. Everyone was professional, polite, and worked together seamlessly to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear they care about their guests and take pride in what they do. A perfect start to the day. I’ll definitely...

Cute little cafe with nice interior. They have celebrity photos on the wall of all their guests over the years. The owner is very nice and greets all his guests. They have a bar area to sit at, booths, and a patio if you want to eat outside on a nice day. I love coming for breakfast and they have specials if you come before 11am. This time around I had their French toast and my husband had the corn beef hash. They have free parking In the rear of the building, you can't see it from the street but there are signs that will direct you.
