Went there on a Tuesday night and parking isn't too hard to find in the street. They do have private parking lot, but it's small and valet only. Basically it's all Korean in there, even the menu on the wall are only in Korean. I found it very interesting that they didn't state the price in the menu. I asked the waitress, and she said the laminated menu is same as the main menu. But when I asked her where in the main menu is bean cold noodle, guess what, she said it's not in there. So I asked another dish, and ya, it's not in the main menu too. So basically you have to ask her how much is it. Which is kind of embarrassing especially when you ask more than two dishes. I made my mind and wanted to order the bean cold noodle, she strongly have something against me ordering it. She said I won't like it and told me to order the other noodle. I asked her why I won't like it, but she can't answer it. I told her again I want to order the bean cold noodle, and again, she told me to order something else because I won't like it. If I haven't try it, how would you know I won't like it!? Anyways, finally convinced her to place the order because I really wanted to try it. The noodle wasn't too bad, I like it. It has that soy bean milk and sesame flavor. It was a really big bowl full of noodle. It will be nice to have fried tofu in it or something. However there is all these korean side dish to add some variety of favor and texture. Would I go back? Maybe not. She really gave me a hard time...
Read moreHands down best meal I had in L.A. Stumbled upon this humble eatery located in a little casual/run down strip mall, but the food does not reflect that at all. Quality handmade noodles to go in my spicy seafood soup (maybe noodles were a touch overcooked but probably just because my soup was superr hot)- and do you see the size of that bowl?? That was meant to feed two I'm sure now lol. But I finished it all with a little broth leftover (with some help from my friend). Her Spicy Beef Soup was also really delicious, with a very flavorful, deeply beefy broth, and a generous portion of beef - it has lots of ingredients in it including glass noodles, and came with a side of purple rice of course. The last thing we ordered to share was the seafood pancake, which was also really lovely. It could've been even crispier but the outside was a touch crispy with the interior being thick and fluffy. Lots of seafood in it though. On top of all this, we forgot the banchan was going to come too - which was also very abundant. There were so many dishes. All in all we were past stuffed (would have taken more leftovers but we had to leave town the next day so we wanted to finish what we could) - so we only had half the seafood pancake leftover. The ajumma serving us was so sweet and service was great. Can't wait to go...
Read moreIf you're in LA and you're craving Korean food besides the typical ayce Korean BBQ, this is the place to try. It's a really small restaurant located in plaza next to Castle BBQ. The prices aren't too bad for their portions. Most plates range from $8-10 and their more meatier plates range from $15-20. They give you a lot of sides too and I don't know what all the Korean names are, but the potato thing is bomb. The Korean lady that works there is so cute and nice! She was a little forgetful when we asked for a refill on one of the sides, but she was too cute and friendly to be mad at. She checked up on us frequently, gave suggestions when we ordered, and our cups were always filled. I tried the dumpling soup with beef and the bibambap (pretty sure I spelled that wrong haha). Both dishes were good and came out sizzling hot. The only downside about them was that the dumpling soup came with only 4 dumpling and probably 5 beef pieces, but there was a lot of little rice cake pieces which I liked. The bibambap was good, but could use more meat. Overall, the quality of food was pretty good and I want to try the hot pot pork next time...
