This has been the worst bed purchase experience ever! A couple weeks ago I went in to buy a dark grey (charcoal) head board and bed frame. Since I did not see it on the show case floor, John the owner suggested his catalog. After scanning through it I found a grey bed I liked and he ordered it. A few days later the bed got delivered but it was the wrong color. It was a brown! The delivery guys were trying to convince me it was grey but it was clearly brown. I called John and he also began to insist it was grey. I proceeded to tell him that was not what I order and did not want it. Later he said I ordered a brown bed because the code number said it was brown and we both missed it. I told him I clearly went in to buy a dark grey bed and his catalog clearly showed that. John then told me that I would have pay a restocking fee of $100 (this is not even my fault) and after going back and forth he agreed to pay it since I settled to get a different color just to continue to do business with him which backed fired at me yet again! When I finally got it delivered the second time around the delivery men failed to tell me before they left that the bed was missing a part that supported the bottom bed. The only reason I noticed was because later that night the bed was making a loud squeaking noise. The next day I called John to tell him know about it and he quickly brushed the problem off and told me what I want him to do about it and that this wasn't his fault. He then added that the bed was missing a part and that I needed to go get it from the store. Never beening one bit apologetic and quickly hung the phone. I went in to get the part and he was really unprofessional and unapologetic .While putting the missing part I also discovered that most of the screws were loose as well. We actually had a great experience with Phil - he quoted us a fair price and honored it when we came back a week later. He even included free customization for our sofa (we needed it split into two sections because we live on the second floor and have to contend with some narrow stairs) and free delivery because we live pretty near the store. Stephen and the delivery crew did a great job getting the couch delivered up our stairs with no damage, plus took care leg assembly in a few minutes.
