We like to go here. Not the cleanest. But decent Chinese buffet food. There is not much choice in Chinese food in the area. If there was we would go someplace else. The big issue I see here is that they charge 18 percent gratuity for a group of 6 or more. I have seen arguments several times from other groups at the register about this. I always thought how cheep can you be? I know what it's like to serve a big group and get stiffed. So if the place wants to charge a gratuity, that's ok with me. Just ensure that we get at least a little service for it. We recently went in a group of 4 adults and 2 small children. We were offered no drink refills in over an hour. We left the dirty plates stacked on the table next to us. The waitress never came back one time except to drop off the ticket when we were done, then offered drink refills... The tip added to the ticket was over 9 bucks for no service. We watched the waitress sit on a chair across the restaurant most of the time we were there. We are not a demanding group. But if you want a tip at a buffet. At least clear plates at least once and offer at least one drink refill. We even tried waving her down and she ignored us. It was an extremely slow night with only a few people there. So no good reason for the few diners in the place to get horrible service. I've noticed the horrible service has happened to us several times lately. A couple weeks ago 4 of us went and we had the simular issues with a different waitress. I have a swallowing disorder (achalasia) and need liquid to get food down. So I'm used to getting a drink refill myself, if I need it quickly. Ive been known to go fill our own tables drinks when this place is slammed. We usually go in a group of 3. And leave a couple bucks for cleaning the table. If they give us good service by clearing the plates a few times and offering drink refills. We usually leave a 20 percent tip. The problem is the service has become really bad lately. I worked waiting tables at buffet for several years. It was hard work but I could make decent money by offering good service. I wonder how they make any money other than by people the are forced to pay or feel obligated to tip because it's customary. If we were the only people in the place having this issue. Then I would think it was us doing something to upset the staff. But I've been seeing it happen to other diners often. And noticed other reviews saying the same thing. If I'm rating on the food. It's 4 stars. On recent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf I could give this place 0 Stars I would. We come here at least 1 or twice a month. We were there today for about 10 mins. Everything was ok until my husband goes into the men's room, My husband said one of the cooks was in the bathroom doing #1 my husband wanted to wait to use the stall after him but watches the cook go to the sink and "shakes" hands pretending he washed his hands then exits the bathroom, my husband went after him to make sure that he at least washes his hands at another sink were the waitresses stand, but no this cook goes straight from the bathroom to the food area and starts grabbing spoons to mix food then goes to the bacon kitchen. My husband gets really grossed out of course. We don't know how many times they use the bathroom and if they do #2 come out and just start cooking. GROSS!! One of the girls comes and tells me we have to pay (we were not able to finish our 1st plates) we tell her why we are leaving and she starts screaming in front of the other people eating. All the girls come after her too, we go outside and they all followed us screaming to point to the cook then she says "they have their own dispenser" mind you this cook never went to NO dispenser for hand sanitizer, I start screaming at her that even if they have dispensers they HAVE to wash their hands before going back to work. 2 of the "cooks" come out but never the one with puffy black vest he stays inside they start speaking their language and one of the cooks starts laughing. The girl is going crazy saying we just don't want to pay (always pay for 2 adults and 3 kids one under 3 but of course they always over charge!) She keeps saying to tell her which one and threatened that they have cameras and so we tell her go and check the cameras and look which cook comes out of the bathroom just now then she says "we have them only in the cash register" we never got an apology they never said sorry NOTHING. Of course I am not going to pay for something we didn't get to finish and could give us a stomach bug. NEVER going back they just lost 5 customers. And I will make sure other people I know that love to go their NEVER GO BACK. We will call city to check their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have no clue how they got almost 4 stars. Everything about this place is subpar! I went inside to check prices before we decided to eat here at 1:30pm because the reviews talked a lot about price. I really didnāt want to spend over $30 for the two of us. The board with prices said lunch buffet was 12.99 and fountain drinks were $2.49. For 2 people it should have come out to a sub total of $30.96 plus tax. I figure taxes are probably around 8% which should have put the grand total at around $33.48 give or take. Yet somehow we were charged $39.88. A whopping $6 difference. What was I going to do? Argue with the woman?
Now letās talk about the food. Typical Asian American buffet offerings. The fish was supposedly baked, but was in water and tasted bland and boiled. We love hot and sour soup but it tasted like plastic. The general tsoās chicken was cold and tasted freezer burnt. The beef in both the Mongolian and broccoli dishes was like chewing bubble gum. Pretty much the only items worth eating were the honey chicken, the lo mein, and the egg drop soup.
The only good thing I have to say about my experience eating here is the server was on point. She was quick to refill your drink or take away a...
