The Branch Bistro & Bookstore — Restaurant in Los Lunas

I came into The Branch specifically to purchase a large quantity of whole bean coffee. On display, they had two 5-pound bags right alongside their other retail coffee—yet no prices were posted.

When I asked the cashier, she couldn’t find a price in her system. She asked another employee, who then recommended calling (what I assume was) the manager. The manager’s response? They are not selling 5-pound bags at this time.

That was incredibly frustrating—why display a product if you cannot or will not sell it? It creates confusion, wastes customers’ time, and the staff didn’t seem prepared to handle the situation or offer an alternative solution.

Overall, this was poor service and bad business practice. If you advertise products on your shelves, customers should reasonably expect to be able to purchase them. To make matters worse, I had driven 30 minutes specifically to try their coffee, only to leave...

Before I had a low review for this establishment because the workers were extremely rude and judgy. But the owner or manager reached out to me in an email and apologized for the behavior and let me know that she got rid of those rude employees and was nice enough to offer me a free drink next time I come in by mentioning her name. Due to the economy I did not want to go in there and take something from her for free just because times are hard. I appreciate the thought alone and her taking the care to get rid of employees that don't represent the business or her in a good light. I like that she wants her employees to be respectful to the customers at all times and took care of it. I will definitely try going in there again at some point and when I do I will leave...

I will always pass up Starbucks to come here. As a Seattle native I am very picky about my coffee,this place takes their time to do it right and I have never gotten a drink I didn't like from them. Thier sandwiches are also very good . If you've never been please do give it a try the only negative thing I can say is I hate that they close so early ,but they are open early so they've already worked a hard day's work by 5pm so I understand.
