Caffe Caffe has been here for a long time, but I had only been here a couple times until I started dating my girlfriend… she loves the place so we often come here for coffee before work.

I can’t think of a single negative thing about this place. The coffee selection is diverse - hot, cold, and frozen, with plenty of varieties for hot and cold coffees. The frozen coffee is my fave, though - and goes best with breakfast (at least to me it does).

What sets this place apart - and has earned it the extremely loyal clientele - is the food. They serve breakfast items, eggs, bacon, biscuits/croissants, breakfast sandwiches, and so forth. Every single item I’ve tried is absolutely terrific. And they cook the bacon how it is meant to be cooked: CRISPY! My personal favorite is the scrambled egg, cheese, and bacon in a spinach wrap.

But the breakfasts are (again, to me) not the stars of Caffe Caffe’s food menu. They have an amazing selection of desserts, which are all made in house. Key Lime Pie, Lemon Icebox Pie, other pies and cakes, berries/yogurt/etc… I singled out the Lemon and Lime pies because they are my absolute favorites, I can’t get them too often (I’m a little fat 😂) but when I do, I savor every bite.

The service is impeccable! The staff are always friendly, polite, and they are very fast. I’ve seen some of the same people for years - which indicates they know how to run a business correctly and have happy employees - which makes all the difference in the world.

The atmosphere is usually lively, with no fluorescent lighting in the dining area. Good music is always playing, and extra credit for not playing Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. There is outdoor seating available as well, and that’s wonderful for those perfect weather days.

There is plenty of parking, but the parking lot often fills up… I have been here when I had to park at the far end of the lot (closer to West Esplanade) but I can always find a spot someplace.

This is one of my fave places to relax; great coffee, food, and service. I’ll continue to be a regular patron for as long as...

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious incident that occurred during my visit to your location on July 31, 2025, at approximately 4:15 PM. This was my first time dining at your establishment, and after carefully reviewing the menu, I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Wrap, which did not list any nuts among its ingredients.

Unfortunately, after consuming half of the wrap, I began experiencing symptoms of an allergic reaction. Upon inspecting the remaining portion of the wrap, I discovered it was visibly topped with what appeared to be slivered nuts (possibly almonds or walnuts). I immediately informed the staff, who offered to either make me a new wrap or package the original one to go. Their response indicated a lack of understanding regarding the life-threatening severity of nut allergies.

Due to the reaction, I had to seek emergency medical attention as my throat began to swell and close.

I followed up with the on-duty manager the next morning (August 1, 2025) to report the incident. While she did apologize, she questioned whether I was certain that nuts were on the wrap. I confirmed again that I showed the wrap to the staff at the time of the incident, who witnessed the contamination before I rushed to the ER.

While I appreciate the apology, this type of mistake is extremely serious and can be fatal if not immediately addressed. I strongly urge your team to review your allergy protocols, ensure ingredient accuracy, and train staff on how to respond appropriately in these situations.

Please treat this matter with urgency to help prevent a similar situation from happening to someone else.

Caffe Caffe has (racist staff) I pick up and deliver food orders for Postmates

During my pick up from Caffe Caffe on April 25,2019 @11:15am. I entered the establishment with phone in my hand, walk right up to the line at the register, while I was stand in the line with three people ahead of me. I decide to double check the order on the phone; so my head was down for maybe a minute. Once I looked up and I was facing the direction of the small rectangular shaped kitchen window. There was three guys of Caucasian nationality. One of the guys who was the husky built one made a very loud and obvious remark “hey guys there’s a crab in the building” as he stairs at me with a smirk on his face. The entire staff all started to laugh the ladies behind the counter the guys in the kitchen. I asked “am I the crab your referencing to” the husky guy disappeared from the view of the window but, still some the staff were laughing and one of the ladies behind the counter “said I can’t believe he actually did it”.

The experience was of something in all my years living in New Orleans and traveling and working the surrounding area I haven’t ever encounter. It was disappointing knowing in still in 2019 there are people who are so heartless, ignorant and evil that they would take the time of their day to give myself or anyone else of a darker skin complexion their entergy and time out of their work day just to feel...
