REPORTING to the BBB !!! My previous rating for the business was 5 stars. I arrived at Stella with my husband and my 3 nieces on Saturday 7/5/17. I was told the restaurant was closed. It was 8:50pm. The website said 11pm. Then we were told it closed at 10pm. Again it was 8:50pm. The manager (short lady blond hair) came out and while walking by stated that she wasn't serving anyone else because they were busy. It was WAY before closing. In a soft whisper, I explained that I came to this restaurant quite often and if the restaurant didn't close until 10pm, why would I not be served. I was dressed in a blazer jacket so I know it was not my attire. The lady who was identified as a manager, said "you can leave". The restaurant was not full at all. She stated she had a lot of deliveries and I would not be served. I was so confused and honestly hurt. I had children with me and we came for pizza. I was treated so badly by the staff that I was literally in shock. I am a Director in hospitality and I honestly couldn't believe that I was denied service at an establishment with children 2 hours before they closed! When I ask for a contact number, the same lady slammed a menu and said call the restaurant. I felt like I was being Punked. I again said in a soft voice that we could wait and I would like to be served. She then said loudly, "I won't serve for an hour. What do you want bad serve". I am embarrassed by the way I was spoken to in front of my family (I forced myself to stay clam) and I will ensure that everyone I recommended this restaurant to knows of the treatment I received. I am also reporting this to the BBB. I like to believe the world doesn't judge people by race but we were the only black family in the restaurant. I am honestly speechless. I took the time to write this while my family went into Reginellis down the street because I need some time to process what...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWas in town visiting, and my hotel had the take out menu from this place. However, I decided to drive around and check it out in person. It's a small, local spot with big appeal for sure. On my visit, we were the only ones eating inside. Everything sounded wonderful on the menu, but I opted for the Veggie Fresco pizza. While we were waiting for our food, the owner started chatting with us, telling us about the recipies, and that the pizza dough and meatballs are made fresh every day. I could see that there were a lot of to go orders being taken, so I knew that was probably a good thing. Food came out pretty quickly, and it looked and smelled delicious. BUT when I took that very first bite of that pizza...it was like the Heavens opened up! It was, by far, one of the best pizzas I have ever eaten! And I damn near ate the entire 6 slices (small)! I was raving so much about it that I reluctantly gave the last slice to my friend to try. My friend had spaghetti and meatballs, which were generous and very tender and delicious. I only wish I had stayed another day to try the pizza again. It's been a week since I had it, and I'm still thinking about that dough! Next time I'm in town, I'm heading straight to Stella! Thank you for great service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI would like to start off by saying that absolutely everything about our experience was fantastic. My wife and I came here for dinner after a day at a local park. It was a calm soothing atmosphere. That's exactly what we needed. We each had a ceasar salad. They were very fresh. I mean the lettuce looked and tasted like it was picked five minutes before it was served to us. For an appetizer we had the cheesy bread sticks. These are a must try. For our entree she had the spaghetti and meatballs and I had the eggplant parmesan pasta. She said hers was great. She loved the fact that it came with four big meatballs. Mine was also wonderful. The eggplant was very tasty and it had plenty of cheese. We will definitely be coming back. I can't wait to...
