I'm hoping that my review will clarify some of the issues I have read from other reviews. A little background on myself... I have a Master's degree in Hospitality Management with a focus on food and beverage. My reviews are close to reaching 100k, which would be awesome. So let's get into it...
I noticed this place when I was on my way to another restaurant and decided to stop here instead. Like most folks, I jumped on Google to check the reviews. Some of them were terrific; some of them were awful. I'm not one to shy away from any sort of food so I took the chance. My overall impression, in case you don't want to read this entire review, is that the place was a nice mom and pop pizza place that serves good pizza without any issues. They stay open until midnight which is also a plus.
As far as some of the negative reviews, my belief is that some of them are a bit exaggerated, but not intentionally misleading. For instance, people commented that the edge of the pizza was burnt. That really depends on your definition of burnt. Yes, there's going to be a bit of char on the outside when a pizza is cooked that way. That's how every Pizza is made in the world. Maybe not at Papa John's. So while there is some truth to what they are saying, it's a bit over the top compared to what is actually going on. I got a 10-in pizza, which is considered the small, and it was enough to feed me and I'm a 6'2 180 lb man. It also wasn't 10 in. It was more like 12 in. Some other reviewers commented that the pizza was soggy. That's very interesting since some of them also mentioned that the crust was burnt. I agree to some extent that the center of the pizza was softer than the crust, but that is again the nature of how these things work. There's going to be sauce and most likely some sort of butter or oil that is going to be more on the center than the edges. Pizza is like and that it is very subjective. Someone actually commented that the mountain of pepperoni wasn't actually a mountain of pepperoni. Good grief, Charlie Brown. They weren't being literal. The toppings on my pizza were actually great. major factor also seems to be whether or not you get the pizza at the restaurant or through Uber Eats. Pizza is always best eating fresh; the longer a pizza sits out the more likely it is to change in flavor and crispiness. I like this place. You can't expect every Pizza to be a five star perfect pie, but these folks did a great job. I will definitely...
Read moreOrder locally at milanos instead of the mega pizza chains that choose to add chemicals and poison in their products. I've eaten the cheese pizza and the wings. Definitely top 3 ive ever had. The pizza is ny style with delicious crust and very tasty mozzarella. Perfect amount of toppings. And wings are huge. The honey mustard flavor is sweet and salty deliciousness. Side of ranch had a great flavor like it was homemade. Much better than store ranch. Definitely will get the wings for next Sunday. AND the owner always remembers me and is very nice,...
Read moreThe "large" $20 plus pizza was described to have a "mountain" of pepperoni. Well, it was salty like a "mountain". We requested pizza sauce, we got semi-wet dough. The crust edge was burnt ---yes, I know some prefer it that way. Then, the coup de gras, the mozzarella sticks....maybe I'm spoiled but how were they lacking flavor, and why was the marinara like water? I mean it was literally like someone was trying to "stretch" the jar (yep!). Definitely not worth the total $60 we spent for a pepperoni pizza and some...
