MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes — Restaurant in Louisiana

(August 2022) Should have known it was not going to be a good experience by the cashier's attitude. Made our to go order (vegan burger and double diablo with sweet potato fries and 2 shakes). (By the way, don't offer me a "meal deal" if it's the same price as listed a la carte on the menu). Waited for the food and watched 2 other people come in, order, get their orders and start eating. Finally a guy brings out our order, and I ask if someone was making the shakes. He walked to the cashier (Chy) and said "did you make their shakes" and she replied "naw, you can do it." Finally got the shakes and left. Got home to find a bean patty on the dressed double diablo setup and 2 burger patties on the vegan setup. I paid almost $50 for that?!?!?! ($46.47). Not that my business will make any difference, but we won't be going back.

(August 2023) We decided to try again. Was ready for a decent burger and come back to revise this review. Saturday evening, 7:30. Drove up, there are no customers in the store. Walked up to the register and only see 1 employee. He's in the kitchen playing on his phone. We wait a few minutes, wondering if someone is going to come to the register or if the genius in the kitchen will even look up. Nothing. So we turned around and walked out. By the time we get to the car, I look back and there's a girl (employee) inside waving at us to come back. Nope. A year after my last review, and the customer service is...

I did a DoorDash pickup order through this establishment. When I arrived, there were 6-7 other groups of people in the building that not a single one had received their food. After waiting 20 mins, one person had received their food, and all of the employees were standing around not making food. At this point, the majority of the people that had been waiting for over an hour were getting up and asking for refunds. To which they started just refunding people instead of making their food that they had ordered. When I asked them to cancel my order, they said that they couldn’t do that since it was an order through DoorDash. Through back and forth with DoorDash and them, they finally decided that they could just make our food and still didn’t refund us. And then they ended up “making” our food in 5 mins. I ended up being there for over an hour. When we finally received the food, it was soggy and tasted like it had not been made right then, but rather most likely had been sitting for over an hour, and it wasn’t even what I had ordered. I ordered two burgers, two fries, and two shakes. I received three burgers, one fry, and two shakes. And the burgers weren’t even the right kind of what I had ordered. I have contacted Mooyah customer service about a refund, but I would not recommend going to this store specifically. I’m not sure about...

This was my first time at Mooyah and will definitely be coming back. Dante was exceptionally perfect and professional. From the second we walked in the door to even way after we got our meal he came by to check to make sure everything was in order. He suggested a meal choice, and was super just genuinely happy to help. Let me say this, YOU CAN NOT TEACH SOMEONE TO BE GENUINE IN THEIR JOB! With everything going on it was nice and refreshing to be taken cared of so well. I know it’s early being that this location just opened but I see Dante becoming a manager in the future. As for the cooks and team staff in the back I expected for there to be a bit of slowness since everything was new, but the team worked beautifully well everyone was happy and looked like they were having fun but still getting things done. My order was correct and food was extremely properly cooked and seasoned way better then a lot of other burger places we’ve been. The girl that seems to be the runner I think was super nice and continued to come back to check on everything. All and all this experience was very lovely and will be back soon. This location is definitely the one to come to! Management keep doing what your doing and please make sure to not over do your workers so they can stay happy and hard working....
