[update - 9/1/23] - 3 Stars
Owner reached out and paid out the value of the AirPods. Not sure what was on the cameras but it’s handled I assume.
I updated my star rating to solely reflect this. Still not happy we had to deal with this in this manner.
[old post - 8/28/23] - 1 Star During our visit, we had AirPods STOLEN from us.
—- Full Story:
We go in at about late lunch, sit down, get waited on - our server was fairly pleasant or whatnot.
Food starts rolling in - which was/is subpar - I’ve had more quality, flavorful food at other restaurants (including one other location that wasn’t this one). Spending money? Here, wouldn’t be my first or second choice?
Middle of our meal we start to notice everyone at their tables fanning themselves (we’re inside by the way). The restaurant was hot (AF)! So, like many others, we were sort of just pressed to finish up, pay, and leave which we did.
In our rush to leave, about 30-45 min after leaving the restaurant, we notice that we had left a bag - with a wallet, cash, AirPods, and other things. Why do we know this, because we had specifically cleaned and packed this bag before heading out to the restaurant— starting our late day.
We call the restaurant, they notify us that our bag was picked up early by Worker 1, handed off to Worker 2. And that our bag was at the restaurant to be picked up.
We get the bag, only for the bag to have been rummaged through - the zipper was broken off, medication that was in the bag was moved to a different compartment, and the AirPods were GONE.
We asked the managers to run the cameras but they were no help. They gave us every reason why they couldn’t access their cameras.
We just knew it had to be a worker because
(1) when we first got there, one of their managers was so quick to show us the video but another was hesitant and that’s then the excuses started.
(2) At no point we’re we told, or it was framed that a guest touched or brought them that bag (or anyone was seated at the table we sat.
(3) No one wanted to look to or address us EVEN THOUGH WE WERE JUST EATING HERE AND RECEIVED ALL OF THE FAKE PLEASANTRIES not even an hour ago
(4) At one point we were given the bag already and one of the workers wanted to be a little too, oddly helpful (as if they knew the full story of our AirPods beings stolen, BUT the news had just broken that they were). How did she know? Again, “odd.”
(5) We called the police for an investigation (which management at first told us that was the only way for them to be able to access cameras for this situation).
When the sheriff arrives, he even gets the run around about the cameras. Their stories kept changing. Now magically, they have only ONE area manager that has certain control over reviewing and accessing camera footage.
(6) Also, ONLY WHEN the sheriff arrived we learned FROM THE SHERIFF that one of the workers (whether it was Worker 1 or Worker 2) apparently “ran” outside with our bag to see if they knew or could find who the bag was for.
When we asked who had the bag, we never were given this information. Before the sheriff arrived, they framed it as if our bag was quickly handed over by ONE worker and it went straight to the managers office where they keep lost items (or ARE SUPPOSED TO KEEP)
I say this, because when we arrived, the bag was not in the office, it was at the host(ess) stand.

To this hour, we have yet to be called about the camera review, if they accessed cameras, and quite honestly - the managers are likely just protecting the likeness of their restaurant and their workers. They couldnt give a d**n about us. So I don’t expect anything...
Read moreI couldn’t wait until tomorrow to leave a review about my experience I had tonight!! It was my great aunt’s birthday and she decided last minute she wanted to go out to eat. She was given the suggestion to go to Mr. Ed’s but at another location. If anybody knows me they know I’m a foodie.. I was like nooo the best one is in Metairie ( I’m not saying the other locations are bad, but Metairie is the best… my opinion) And tonight proves why!! So upon arrival we didn’t know how many people were coming.. I walked in and was greet by Manager Mark. I was like I have a large party looking at about 15 people. He said it’s going to be tight but I’ll be able to work something out. I was like okay. While we were waiting on the rest of the party, Mark was already working on a table for 10. While that table was getting ready I got a few phone calls that more people were coming. I went over to Mark I said do you love me ?! He looked at me and said how many total 21?!? I said 23… he said be patient I’ll work something out. And I was…not only did we sit in the same area we ALL sat at the same Very long table!!! Mark worked his magic!!! Mark did an amazing job getting us seated and our server (I forgot his name) did an amazing job as well!! He kept up with orders, drinks, people and tabs effortlessly!! It was 23 of us he was moving and taking care of other tables!! He did an amazing job!!! I have never ever had service like what we received tonight with that many people ever!!! Mr. Ed’s food and service was amazing!! I’ll definitely be back again !!! Thank you Mark!!! Like...
Read moreWent to Mr.Eds for lunch and had one of the worst experiences. After ordering and waiting over an hour we never received the meals we ordered.Asked for our check after we watched 3 other tables with parties of 3-5 that ordered appetizers and main dishes received food before us and we had been seated and order over 20 minutes before they arrived.I was not upset until we looked at the items the other tables order to see it was one of the item we ordered and other menu items that had to made to order.Keep in mind we arrived and was seated immediately placed our ordered at 11:53am according to the ticket and had not received our meal as of 12:48 when we cashed out and paid for the 2 appetizers and the half glass of beer it was a half glass because the co2 for the draft beer went out and it took the bartender an 35 minute to change it and bring my husband the beer which only came out once we asked for the check because we no longer wanted to wait for food that seemed was never coming out .Also let’s not forget when I called to speak with a manager to voice my concerns on my experience I was told I didn’t have to get mad and she was not about to argue with me after asking for her name she hung up the phone in my face.As you can see I still left the suggested tip in cash even with...
