As background, we have eaten at Piccadilly Cafeterias for decades and at this particular one for the past 20 years. It was my late mother’s favorite restaurant and she loved receiving her Piccadilly gift certificates as Christmas presents. Unfortunately, when I looked up at the ceiling on September 23rd, I was in shock and disbelief! It is in horrible condition with widespread and multiple leak stains and BLACK MOLD! This is a serious health hazard! Now I wonder if the lights are so dim on purpose. When was the last health department inspection? I seriously doubt that we will ever go back. Follow-up Called the number as recommended in the response multiple times over the last couple of weeks. Goes straight to message saying the mailbox is full. Unfortunate.

A long string of black hair was found cooked in the takeout broccoli and cheese casserole. Okay, I know this happens at times. I contacted the manager, Jeff. He told me to bring it back. I said no; I'm too far away right now, and I won't be coming back anytime soon. He then told me to bring it back whenever I could, and I said, sir, I won't be keeping this food in my home or in my refrigerator with a string of hair in it. Okay fine. I then put the remaining untouched food in the refrigerator because I had lost my appetite. The next day, I opened another small container of food containing broccoli and cheese. Oh my goodness, another string of hair cooked in the food. At this point, I threw everything out. Smh. Needless to say, I won't be back.

I usually enjoy visiting Picadilly, but on the last couple of visits, I’ve questioned the cleanliness of the people serving the food. On one visit, I ordered food to go. The lady packing the food placed her bare hand in one of the containers and was about to put the food in it. I had to ask her to get another container because her hand was in it. On my last visit, none of the servers had on gloves and all of their fingers were touching the food in the bowls. I can no longer continue eating here because this type of behavior is starting to look like a pattern. Plus the food didn’t taste that great either.

My husband and I ate at Piccadilly on this week and it was an interesting experience. The food was good and the waitress who tended to our table was pleasant. Her name was Dorothy. The food servers were not the most pleasant however. I didn't know until we got to the restaurant that masks were required. So when we arrived my husband had his mask but I did not have mine. I placed a paper towel over my face and proceeded behind my husband in the food line. The server so rudely said I needed to have a mask or I would have to leave. So I spoke through the napkin on my face and said ok can my husband order for me and I will get it to go. She said no we both have to leave. I was starting to get upset but I asked is it ok that we get it to go? She said I can not serve the food unless a mask. I could not believe what I was hearing. Finally the manager Josie came and offered me the opportunity to purchase a mask for $2.00. My husband and I agreed to buy the mask and proceeded to order our food and dine in. ATTENTION Picadilly & all restaurants PLEASE try to handle people and customers with more courtesy. It's not hard to go the extra mile and treat people how you would want to be treated... Especially during these challenging, turbulent times! I don't know if we will be back to Piccadilly...

Went there last nite.. 3 adults and a 7 year old....was excited, hadn't been there in a few years...6pm dinner and half the entree food was missing. 7yr old wanted 1.99 kid meal, only 1 choice available...so he got 13.99 asked fish which was actually stuffed fish...yuck , nasty side of red beans, like hard bullets and side of rice. Adult got red been bullets and raw sausage, fried catfish, which was good and I got the overcooked liver and onions...the rude lady piled the food on..I am not a big eater...the cashier informed me that it was a 2 piece price plate...she fixed it and was nice about it...cronbread dressing, horrible and overcooked broccoli...$64.00 later...why we paid for this I do not know...I asked for the manager.. after 4 or 5 minutes they never came, I left...the service people are rude....DO NOT WASTE YOUR...

So I was excited to order my Thanksgiving dinner from Piccadilly... It was the perfect portions for me. It cost me $38 dollars. I go to pick it up the night before Thanksgiving at 6 PM. It was very unorganized and no one knew where my dinner was. I finally got it. I was just handed a plastic bag with my dinner in it. Thought it was kind of weird but it's the holidays didn't feel like complaining. I get home to prepare it on Thanksgiving day I have no dinner rolls.. WOW it's thanks giving day now I'm stressed. I call and spoke with someone guess the manager. He apologized and offered to replace the rolls. But it's Thanksgiving day not driving from New Orleans to Metairie to pick up rolls. But I did get charged full price for my meal. I will never again order from Piccadilly it was cold through me my...
