Hello, The Trekking Pawns here! We know it’s a fast food spot, but we just had to try Raising Cane’s while in New Orleans!

First Impressions Walking in, the vibe was fun and inviting—it had that Red Robin-style décor, but with a New Orleans twist, featuring local sports team memorabilia. The menu was straightforward and simple, which we appreciated. No overwhelming choices—just chicken done right.

We went in around 3 pm and the place was not crowded, tables were clean, but still a steady stream of people coming in (and in the drive through) for food.

We ordered:

The Chicken Sandwich Combo 🍔 The Chicken Fingers Combo 🍗 The food came out fast, fresh, and hot—exactly what you want from a fast food spot. The chicken was top-notch, just like Chick-fil-A quality, with a crispy, well-seasoned breading and tender, juicy meat. The fries? Pretty standard, but the real game-changer? THE SAUCE. For a fast food joint, Raising Cane’s absolutely did not disappoint. We’re glad we gave it a try in its hometown, and honestly, we’d eat here again in a heartbeat.

The Sauce – The Star of the Show! New Orleans knows how to do sauces, and Raising Cane’s is no exception. Their signature sauce had a nice little kick (black pepper seasoning, perhaps?) that paired perfectly with the fries, chicken, and even the Texas toast that came with the meal. We were seriously impressed! If only Raising Cane’s sold bottles of it—we would’ve stocked up for sure. For a fast food joint, Raising Cane’s absolutely did not disappoint. I love canes but some employees need to leave their problems at home , I'm home ill so I asked my partner to grab my original meal the combo with coleslaw and a sprite heavy on the ice , so I was on the phone as I told my partner exactly what to order my partner brought my food home and there was no coleslaw the bread smelled bad and it was smooshed and my sprite I ordered turned out to be carbonated water , I was so mad because I really wanted canes and my money went to waste, then the one who took the order was rushing my partner to order with a attitude I won't eat from that raising cane's again located off airline in Metairie to many things went wrong so whoever shift was between 7-8 pm y'all need to learn better communication skills and handle and care for ones food as if you was fixing your own not give people anything give people what the spending their money for so three stars because I love canes but tonight service was uncaused for now I have to eat soup again tonight while my canes...

I asked for paper in my Togo styrofoam and the guy taking order said “ the paper is for the baskets only” I said well can you please put one in my container because styrofoam is carcinogenic when heated and sometimes melts in food. I knew someone who got cancer from eating from styrofoam everyday at work! When I got order there was no paper under my food so I asked the girl in window for one. She looked confused but got it anyway so I thank her for that. I like Canes chicken but so many carcinogens in their food from those containers and I try to always get the paper so good won’t directly touch it but I see I will have to order inside in a basket then transfer the food to a container that I will bring to go. Here is info on the carcinogens in their styrofoam.

According to Sierra Club, styrene, a raw ingredient in Styrofoam's expanded polystyrene (EPS), can leak into food and drinks, especially if they are heated or fatty. Styrene is a probable carcinogen...

I came here late night, around 10PM. It was right after an EJ game. We dined in, both ordered box combos. EXTRA CRISPY EVERYTHING!!! If you don’t say extra crispy, you will get soggy food, it’s just Canes lol. The food was perfect, everything was delicious.. The atmosphere is a 1. There were college kids there, (im a college kid myself lol) They were so loud, extremely childish & they wasted food and drinks EVERYWHERE.. In my opinion they should’ve been asked to leave, they were already busy yet with them being ignorant some employees had to stop to clean up their mess they wasted. The manager was very non problematic, and just simply got it done but can tell he wanted them to leave.. We decided to leave and finish eating at home. If you want canes don’t go late night, just do the drive thru lol!!! & also if you want canes don’t forget, EXTRA CRISPY.

Ive always had such a great experience at Canes with not only the food but the staff! But today, I received 2 out of 3 chicken tenders that were literally the size of chicken nuggets from wendys or mcdonalds. Also gave me unsweet tea instead of sweet! Im not sure what is happening at this location but I hope they seriously fix it because I live in the neighborhood!
