Smoothie King — Restaurant in Louisiana

I LOVE Smoothie King! I grew up blocks away from the original location and have been drinking their smoothies for decades.

My usual smoothie is the Almond Mocha made with no turbinado or any substitute. The first time I ordered it at this location I had to step back in the store after my first sip to ask if they used a sweetener. The girl responded that it was made just as I requested; there was no sweetener. I told her that it tasted strange but there was nothing she could do, so I went on my way.

There was something artificial about it.

I've been back to this location three or four more times and every time the Almond Mocha tastes very different at this location than any of the other locations I've been to. I suspect there is something wrong with the way they are being taught to make it.

Considering that and the fact that their smoothies are priced higher than other locations, I'm going to have...

Public Notice – Smoothie King (Airline & Labarre, Metairie)

On Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 6:00 PM, I returned a smoothie at this location because it tasted off. The employees told me “corporate rules” prevented them from remaking a returned drink, and when I asked for their names, they refused to provide them.

This shows two serious issues: • Customer service: A business should stand behind its product. • Training & accountability: Staff were unprepared to handle a basic service issue and refused to identify themselves.

I hope corporate takes this matter seriously. Customers deserve better than being told they are stuck with a product that isn’t...
